LeeCe Stylz by Alicia Lau — Attraction in San Francisco

I truly don't have the words to express how absolutely incredible Alicia is, or how grateful I am to her for being so awesome from the first point of communication to the wedding day!

I am from NM, and my wife and I decided to get married in San Francisco with a small elopement ceremony, and had no idea where to begin with hair and makeup. I asked my photographer (Emily Jenks, who is also phenomenal) for her recommendation, and she is how we found Alicia! I immediately appreciated how communicative and open she was, and we even dealt with some instances of emails not going through, but Alicia reached out in other ways to make sure that we were able to connect.

While I didn't have a wedding party, my 13 year old daughter was my MoH so we got her hair (and lipgloss) done, and all of the other ladies in attendance got their hair and makeup done as well, for a total of 5 others plus myself. I really appreciated Alicia sending a schedule that included times a few weeks in advance, so everyone knew exactly what the plan was for the wedding day. She asked for pictures of everyone, as well as photos of the hair and makeup looks we all wanted. Not only did she look at the photos, she printed them out and she and her wonderful assistant, Kellydale, each had a look book for reference, which was such a great extra touch.

Alicia and Kellydale arrived at our hotel room where services were being done right on time, and were both so kind. Alicia got right to work setting everything up, and helped us make an epic playlist full of 90s and 2000s music. Right off the bat, she was so fun and outgoing, and made everyone super comfortable. So much so, that by the end of our session she felt like an old friend! All CDC safety guidelines were followed, and she was so professional and knowledgeable, it just made the whole process super special. Every single person was super happy with their hair and makeup, and she even provided extras for touch-ups, but everyone's hair and makeup lasted well into the night!

The day after the wedding she even reached out to see how it had gone, and shared the photos she had taken herself. I absolutely LOVE Alicia, and everyone who got to work with her felt the same way. My 13 year old said she was her favorite person in San Fran, so you know she's great with that review from a teenager! I am truly grateful to Alicia, for not only making sure that we all looked our absolute best on one of the best days of my life, but also for being the incredible person...

I found Alicia through a mutual friend a month after I got engaged. Because the world was opening up again and many couples were booking vendors, I wanted to book a hair and makeup artist sooner than later. It was a frustrating process contacting various HAMU and either not getting a response or getting delayed responses. When I contacted Alicia, she responded very quickly. She was super communicative, answered my MANY questions at length, and was professional and personable.

I decided to book Alicia for the bridal trial. When I first met Alicia, she was early for the appointment, and she nailed the look I wanted for hair and makeup! She was so easy to talk to and we vibed really well!

Leading up to wedding day, Alicia collected inspo pics from the entire bridal party to ensure my bridesmaids had their desired look and to make the time more efficient on the morning of since we had a tight timeline. She also promptly answered any questions I had before wedding day and was super open and accommodating to the changes I wanted for my look.

On wedding day, Alicia and her team arrived early to set up and one thing I really appreciate about Alicia is that she is so organized! Alicia and her team were all super sweet and so talented! Alicia's team glammed up my girls and my mom, they all looked so beautiful!

I was a nervous wreck the morning of the wedding but Alicia was so wonderful in hyping up positive energy while also calming my nerves! When I finally saw myself after hair and makeup were done, I nearly cried but I didn't want to ruin all of Alicia's hard work so quickly, LOL! I felt absolutely beautiful! My hair and makeup were gorgeous, but I still looked like me, which was important to me. It was just perfect and flawless! Alicia is absolute magic! I felt so beautiful and so confident, I felt like a princess! And hair and makeup lasted all day, from 8:00am until midnight!

Alicia was absolutely wonderful and such a gem. The current trend is the glam waves so it was hard for me to find someone to give me my millennial boho braids that I’ve saved on my Pinterest board 15 years ago. I flew from Washington to California for my engagement photoshoot and did a bridal trial with Alicia. She was so flexible, working with mine and my photographer’s schedule. My hair and make up survived the breezy winds at Lands End. I felt so beautiful and loved my look and couldn’t wait for my wedding day.

A year of back and forth communication and my wedding day came. I actually found a different style that I fell in love with and Alicia nailed itttt! I am not one to ever have my hair down. If I feel it on my shoulders, if it falls in my face, I immediately will throw it in a bun so it was a risk doing a braid. I surprisingly did not touch my hair the entire day, actually I didn’t even want to shower, I wanted my boho braids forverrrrrr!! She did such an amazing job! When tension got high she did her best to divert my attention and distract me from the chaos going on around me. She also did hair and make up for two particular Chinese mothers and I was so impressed on how she handled two tough critics. After she finished my touch up, it hit me that, this was it! Our “official” communication would be over and it felt like I had to say goodbye to a dear friend at the airport.
