I always go to the Serramonte location, and visiting stonestown's Sephora reminds me why. Living in a city where theft runs rampant, I understand why businesses tend to be more cautious about people who enter their stores. However, I've never felt so discriminated/profiled at a Sephora ever in my life. The staff in this location are relentless.
Today, I came into this sephora with the intention of browsing. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I just wanted to swatch few things and look around which I don't think is a crime... However the unwelcoming staff at this location don't fail at making their customers feel like you've committed a felony. A greeting here and there is expected, but what I don't appreciate is being watched, followed around the store, and constantly asked "Is there anything you're looking for?" every 5 minutes. Every worker at this location is rude and miserable. I will never return to this Sephora. If you can, go to Serramonte. The difference in atmosphere is night and day.
To the store managers and higher ups, I think discrimination training needs a refresher. Let's not make customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and let's not judge people based on...
Read moreAlmost came to complain about the start of my visit because a greeter welcomed me in very seriously and when I asked for help regarding a setting spray for my oily skin she did nothing but point to a random setting spray and say that one would be the one to work then proceeded to walk away before I could even say thank you or ask questions(with no explanation or guidance). After that, I did not feel sure of my choice so I went up to another employee (Sebastian) and even though he was already assisting someone he nicely offered to help when he was finished. When he came to help me he asked what I needed and when I told him he began showing me different options and even asked me if I needed help with additional products (prep, base etc). Throughout the whole process he kept asking me if I was okay or needed anything else while at the store. He recommended me the one size setting spray (which I bought yesterday) tried it today and my makeup stays on !!! (Other than some minor fading around my Nose because of my Glasses) my makeup looks as good as it did when I...
Read moreHorrible experience. One day, I went into Sephora with my female classmate who wanted to buy some makeup product(s). (BTW, I actually don't wear makeup). We were looking around the store, until she noticed that a security guard was following us. I believe he was following us around because he thought I stole something. Later, one of the female workers came up to me and accused me of stealing an eyeliner. I told her that I didn't know what she was talking about, but she didn't believe me. She then began telling the other employees and later the manager(I think) found out. When I decided to exit the store, the manager said something like "enjoy using the eyeliner." I really didn't appreciate how she treated me, so my classmate and I left without saying a word back. The good thing was that when I was exiting the store the security alarm didn't beep on me, which proved I was innocent. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! NEVER...
