The Apothecarium Dispensary Castro — Attraction in San Francisco

As a visitor from Michigan, I was pleasantly surprised at how classy, clean, and professional the Apothecarium was. I was greeted at the door, and was carded, and entered into their database. They handed me a menu to review while I waited on plush chairs. There are specs on each strand, and prices for the various amounts available to purchase, from a 1g prerolled, up to an ounce. It was a bit pricier than the street, but there is quality control, and packaging, and taxes. (I wish Michigan would legalize recreational marijuana! I'd gladly pay a leagalized price if they put the funds towards education, and fixing our roads, but I digress...) The gentleman who waited on me was distinguished, and very knowledgeable. The entire experience was enlightening! I recommend visiting anytime you're in San Francisco.

PS: After completing my review above, I read the negative reviews below, and I can't believe they went to the same establishment! I didn't wait, but maybe 5 minutes total, and I was provided my receipt without asking for it. I noticed that in each of the reviews either the owner, or the general manager, has replied to each customer in a very professional way. My experience was so different than some of the others described that I have to believe this cannabis boutique has learned and improved, and will continue to "grow". I can't wait to...

Always have a great experience shopping and interacting with the knowledgeable staff. EXCEPT this after noon Monday 10/14 when an engaging scruffy self Proclaimed “hippy” man was the bud tender. Not only did he talk over me when I attempted to ask questions he offered non information. I had specific questions about the content and ingredients of a recent purchase a Monarch Legion Vape cartridge , and questions about safety in light of the recent cases in the news. He did not at all answer my questions even after I restated my questions ( after he talked over me ) , rather continued ranting double speak and then cited conspiracy theories about the govt and gun control. I then (switching gears) asked about a specific strain of flower (to purchase) as was still and am unsure of the long term co sequences of the vape cartridges I had previously purchased And he proceeded on a garrulous rant about a hybrid strain that was not what I asked for . I had NO confidence that this man knew what he was talking about at all.

Very poor experience. I will not being going back but will take my business elsewhere. Perhaps I just got unlucky with the two staff I interacted with but from the front desk person to the sales person who 'helped' me navigate the menu I experienced nothing but condescension and attitude. I'm friendly and curious and had genuine questions about CBD vapes, THC edibles and info on marijuana in general. I wanted to make sure to pick the right product for my chronic pain and also get something for my mother who experience's severe pain as well. I expressed this to the late thirties/early forties sales lady but she had attitude right off the bat, was very impatient and curt as if I'd arrived to bother her during her break time. I felt rushed trying to look at their menu so settled on a cbd vape for myself and took my money and business to Harvest in the richmond district to get something for my mother rather than endure any more 'tude' and bad vibes. Maybe due to early boom times business is so good they don't care or because they dress up the interior and their customer service set up to be like an apple store they feel like their doing the customer a favor, but I would recommend...
