Our evening at The Rustic was nothing short of delightful, and much of the credit goes to the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Johnny. From the moment we were seated, Johnny's attentiveness and friendly demeanor set the tone for a memorable dining experience.

We decided to indulge in a variety of dishes, starting with the mussels, which were cooked to perfection, offering a burst of flavor with each bite. The sea bass was another highlight, flaky and succulent, while the margherita pizza showcased a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients.

The beverage selection was equally impressive. The Prosecco was a sparkling delight, and the wine options complemented our meal splendidly. It was evident that the restaurant took pride in curating a diverse and high-quality drink menu.

What truly stood out, however, was Johnny's attention to detail, extending beyond his service. His music selection added an extra layer to our dining experience. We recently hosted our baby’s first birthday at Tavola Rustica, and it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, Zoti (the owner) went above and beyond to make everything seamless, stress-free, and truly special.

The food was incredible—people were raving about the salad, pasta, and the mushroom pizza. We also had a wine tasting prior to the event, and Zoti’s wine selection is top-tier. He really knows his stuff, and every bottle he helped recommend for the event was a hit. Let me repeat, people LOVED the wine.

We rented out the entire restaurant, and Zoti offered a very reasonable price for the space and food for our 50 person party. He was so accommodating with all our requests— 7 high chairs, custom prefixe menus, guests arriving late or needing to leave early, and even making note of every allergy or dietary restriction. He even packed up a nice to go box for my friends who had to leave early for their baby’s nap.

We brought in decorations and set up a little play area in the back for the kids, which worked out perfectly. When the little ones got fussy, we could bring them to the back to play and then head back for more delicious food and wine.

Went to check out the Rustic after reading the SF Chronicle article, and was very impressed! Great location right off the J-Church line and other metro lines along Market. Got seated in the back patio and it was well-insulated and completely covered, didn't even need to bring a jacket. The service was great, wish we got our waiter's name! He checked in on us often and the dinner was well-paced, didn't feel rushed out or pressured to finish our night out prematurely. We ordered a bottle of white wine, the fig toast appetizer, italian sausage pizza, lemon pesto raviolis, and got a free panna cotta dessert due to a short wait for the fig toast appetizer. Everything tasted great! Great prices too. In fact, my partner and I went to another restaurant the night before (a good side-by-side comparison) that is high-end, highly-raved, and exclusive, and we prefer the Rustic over it in all categories: service, menu options, food execution, prices, atmosphere!
