Jolly Roger Land — Attraction in San Jose

To everyone that tries to have a birthday party or anything so-called private party as this place offers, have to say expect all these stuff:

1- Dirty broken bathroom in the middle of your event.

2- People lining up INSIDE your private room for using the bathroom since there is only 1( ONLY 1) for the whole facility and that is located in the room with 3 walls so can't even call it room it is just a corner of the facility. Anyway, it is going to be so inconvenience and annoying since your guests are going to keep getting out of the facility somewhere to release themselves the mall. I have no idea how exactly they got the permit for it which I am going to follow up with other places regarding this issue.

3- If you plan to have birthday party, try to make sure to bring every single thing you imagine because they don't even have a cake cutter so therefore I had to go to Target and get one which is next to this place.

4- They charge for additional adult but provide no seat or anything and all my guests were eating while standing. Not even enough tables!

5- Since have to remove the shoes, the same way people going into the bathroom they walk in the play area and obviously bringing all those germs into the play are.

6- No speaker or anything is available in that private room which is just corner somewhere and it is all open so everyone can see you.

7- It was so hot which all my guests were sweating and I did tell them to turn on the AC and they are like, we don't have AC but at the end the owner said yes we have it which is so dumb the way they are handling it.

8- They laterally have nothing to do with you since you are in and good luck you do everything right because there is none to help you with anything.

NOTE: I have to say staff are nice and nothing against of them but they do whatever they were told to do which looks like there is a huge lack of communication between the owner and his staff.

Finally at the end, I did talk to the owner and was expecting not to pay for all inconvenience and guess what?! he provided 10% discount which was nothing. I hate when people want to make their money in the cost of using others as their experiment and lack of thinking to make sure those stuff are not going to happen.

So if you want to choose this place for your events, think twice please so you don't get into...

We had the best time celebrating my son's 5th birthday here. The negative reviews that popped up a few days before his scheduled party made me nervous, but Jolly Roger Land was amazing with their communication and we had an extremely positive experience.

Since it's a newer place, everything is super clean, and there's so much more to explore than you might expect. The kids had an absolute blast trying out all the different play activities. A special shoutout to our party host, Ilysa, who was especially such a great help in making the party successful. She had the best attitude and was willing to go above and beyond to make it a smooth party.

The entire party area was blocked off just for us, including the bathrooms(although I would not have minded it staying open since there's a divider that acts as a hallway). They provided tablecloths, paper plates and utensils, cake cutters, and more. You are allowed to bring your own food which another huge plus.

Overall, it was a hugely stress free and fun experience. Several moms in the party already mentioned planning to have their kid's birthday party here as well, and I received so much feedback about what a fun party it was. I would just try to pick a time when the mall is not too crowded! Thanks...

Having ONLY 1 bathroom is a nightmare of inconvenience for customers. Then they have the nerve to block off THE ONLY bathroom if there is a private party going on. For this to be a place for kids, this is not considered kid-friendly when there is no restroom conveniently available for the kids to use especially knowing how kids have to typically use the restroom quite often. By the time you circle the mall to find the closest restroom your child will have had a potty accident. And FYI even though Target would be the closest bathroom location, even they sometimes stop traffic to their restrooms especially if they see you coming from Jolly Roger location, they told me Target restrooms are for Target customers. So good luck with anyone having to relieve themselves while you're visiting Jolly Rogers Land not to mention it takes away from your paid time when you have to leave just to use the...
