First time in Puerto Rico and this was one of the best parts about it. The beach itself is not insanely crazy for the views or swimming capabilities (wouldn’t recommend). It is more highly renowned for it being very rocky and only parts of it are for swimming down further after you get down the steps. The cool part about it is the historical context and how it is right next to the capital of Puerto Rico, hence the name “Beach of the Capital”. The photo opportunities here are endless and it is secluded so it’s a nice place to sit down by yourself or with friends/family/loved one to have meaningful conversations, relax on your own, have a nice picnic, etc. Its really up to what you enjoy more, just be ready for increased and unpredictable waves after sunset after the ride is increased and water levels rise definitely paid the price getting shorts wet but it turned...

Definitely worth a stop while in Old San Juan, but head to the beaches mentioned above if you looking for a long beach day with facilities,...

Better to walk a few blocks from here and go to Escambron beach especially if you’re on your own. (solo). You’ll feel much safer there and it’s beautiful and has bathrooms!! Stop by by El hamburger 🍔 its on the way there! P.S. One of the photos i’ve attached speaks to the ingenuity of Puerto Rican’s. This “inventive” local decided to create an “instant companion” for himself out of SAND! He was a good guy, made...
