We went there around 11:30am for some waffles. They sat us down, didn't clean the outdoor table, that are usually overrun by pigeons. We ordered some drinks (the sangria was okay and the choco gin was pretty terrible). We ordered our food and waited... Then waited some more... around 12:30pm my partner asked for an update on the food and they told us it was on the way. Well, like 15-20 minutes later (by then it was 12:45pm) we overheard a waitress saying that our food wasn't even started yet. We decided to leave since it was more than an hour apart from a bad coffee and drinks. The waitress was very rude and unprofessional ( a redheaded one) started to blame the other waitress for the tardiness of the food. She claimed that she was going to remove a lot of things from our check for the terrible experience. She then only removes what we didnt received. They obviously don't have the train personel to run the business and lack of management.
The waitresses don't followup on you and I had to get up multiple times to get straws or sugar or napkins.
I don't recommend this place at all. Very disappointed.
Parking: They have very limited parking space in the surrounding area.
Cleanliness: It looked pretty clean and it's actually a pretty place.
Food: it was never received, more than an hour into the service
Service: 1/10
Wheelchair accessible: at least for the outdoor table there is wheelchair accessible. For the bathroom and inside it...
Read moreWhere to even begin! We came early to beat the crowd. Because of this, we got an amazing run down of the menu, the teas, the coffee process and their history from one of the owners. To start- the coffee was incredible. Some of the best coffee I've had, and after learning how they make it, I was so excited to try it and it did not let down! I'm missing it already. The owner explained the menu from head to toe, gave recommendations, and told us that everything can be substituted/adjusted so that every bite is the exact way you want it (I love this, because you feel like you're at home and can make your waffle have the exact toppings/proportions that would would do if you made it yourself). My sister and I each got a savory half waffle and a sweet half waffle, with coffee, and it was the perfect amount. They were absolutely incredible, and every time I come to PR in the future I will be stopping here. The couple that owns it were so kind and welcoming and I really hope this place continues to be successful, as they seem to have so much passion for what they do. I did not get to try any of the teas, but they had a huge list to offer and could make them into cocktails, iced teas, milky teas, literally anything you could want. Definitely check this place out as you will not...
Read moreWafflera Tea Room is a mid place to get brunch. The service and the waiters are super nice and bring up a family service. But however they food takes too long by just being waffles. I went back a couple of months ago and the service was just the same. That makes me think that they don’t want to do better since they don’t do anything to fix the problem. By saying that just know that if you are planning to go your waffles are going to take about an hour to come out. And for me the waiting time is not worth it, you can go to any brunch restaurant with a more complicated menu and the food will be out in 20-30 min.
I could also tell that they are understaffed, poor waiter was jumping everywhere and covering all bases, trying to do everything. Management wise you could tell how they exploit and mistreat their employees by giving them so much things to do with short personnel. The management doesn’t do anything for its restaurant, which means that they don’t care (it’s been like that for months or even a year). With all that said I won’t be supporting this restaurant ever again and don’t recommend you to do it, unless they do something to fix up the waiting time and fluidity of...
