We live in Grover and try to buy local as much as possible. We had stopped by Oasis a few times but they were closed. This place disappointed me.
Our dishwasher died right before Thanksgiving. Their website is not user friendly and drives me nuts, and we had just left The Home Depot, where they claimed to have a unit in stock, but was not the case. We were ready to purchase that day.
Just walking in, I was disappointed in the appearance and cleanliness of the place, and the fact that a salesman hit us up before we were even through the loading door. Their pricing is a bit high. I expected as much from a small, "local" spot, but too high. I immediately got the impression that the sales guy works on commission as he immediately showed us washers over a grand. I said that I was cheap, at which time he showed me 2 units in the $600-700. He also must've suffered from gingivitis, and no I am not trying to be rude, rather it made for an even poorer customer experience, and someone should tell the poor fella. It is not a "health shaming" thing. You wouldn't have a sales person with tattoos all over their face, and I bet you'd wash your hands prior to making food, or brush your teeth before a date.
So we left, and I wound up purchasing a new dishwasher online from Santa Maria Lowe's. Ironically the unit was an Amana with a stainless steal face (yes, I am cheap), the same one the Oasis salesman showed me. Delivered, haul away of old washer, and a Veterans discount I paid around $420, and it arrived the day before turkey day.
In other words, the Oasis retail price was nearly 300 more than I paid out the door through Lowe's. I never even got the Oasis delivery fee or haul away fees would have been. We are now in the market for a clothes washer.
I just can't justify these guys pricing, local or not. However, the Amana dishwasher has been running strong since I...
Read moreI called this business on a longshot they'd have a common part for my particular washing machine and I was put off by the service I received over the telephone.
After informing the person my washer was 13 years old, he told me to not even bother repairing it. The person barely listened to the issue I was having with the washer and my explanation of how I knew I needed this particular part. I called back and asked them to check to see if they had the part I needed (I provided the part number) and received one call back stating they didn't have the part. I provided an updated/superseded number, (which seemingly they should have been able to acquire), and I never heard back from anyone...
I ordered the part I needed from Amazon for $26 and installed in under 30 minutes, (with the help of YouTube) and my washer is working just as it should, with no signs of needing to be discarded. I feel the mentality to just get rid of something because it's old, is a widespread issue.
I hope this review is seen by the owner and some changes are made in the delivery of their...
Read moreThe worst customer service I have experienced. I received no indication as to shipping time or ETA when I placed the order. I called and was told I’d receive an email once my order had shipped. 4 days later I called to check and it still hadn’t been shipped but I was told it would go out the next day. The next day, very late on the evening I got an email saying my purchase had been refunded with no explanation. I called to check and was told the part was damaged. They apparently only had one part available. Everyone I talked to on the phone sounded put out and annoyed to be speaking with me. The worst part is, it took them 5(!) days to get around to shipping the part only to find out the part was damaged. I was also hung up on during he last call. Meanwhile I’m without a dryer for a week now and still don’t have a part on the way. Don’t waste your time with this...
