First time visiting and will definitely be my last. The owner made my visit very awkward today. She was already running around the store, scatterbrained. Her employee was doing a great job dealing with customers, yet the owner kept critiquing and interrupting her.
The store is way overpriced on everything. Apparently, San Marcos is known for theft because almost every store asks if they could place my bag behind their register while I shop, which was fine by me. But whenever I asked to try on one clothing item, the owner followed me to the back and waited until I was finished. When I came out, I hung up the clothing item back where I found it, but she accused me of stealing and asked, "Didn't you have an item? Where did you put it?" as if I stole it. Lady, you have my bag. Read moreBe careful they immediately ask to hold your purse behind a counter when you walk in “due to recent theft issues.” Very suspicious considering there is no sign that says no bags/purses allowed etc. So it’s an unexpected surprise to walk in and be asked to give up your belongings to go in a separate area from you. It’s like they’re counting on people pleasers to just say yes. If a store doesn’t trust their customers why would a customer trust the store with their belongings?
