Extremely disappointed in the management and policies of Williams-Sonoma San Ramon. We purchased a Breville Espresso machine for the holidays and after a few uses we realized the machine was just too big for our small kitchen. We were within the return window and had our receipt, but had disposed of the box since it was so big (huge mistake). We decided to call the San Ramon location since it's where we originally purchased it and told them of our situation, the associate said that we would be able to return it. So we cleaned it and packed it up to bring to the store. Once we got there, they told us they would only take it back if we had the box. The associate who misinformed us over the phone apologized, but management wouldn't budge.
CONSUMER WARNING: either buy directly online from Williams-Sonoma (if we did that corporate would return the machine without a box). OR take your business elsewhere — where they have better...
Read moreSo disappointed. Very unprofessional and no decency at all to even accept their mistake or apologize. Instead started dictating me what excuses I use for the MISTAKE THEY DID.
Went to return a gift. First the lady couldn’t figure out how to process the return. Gave me a mangled torn receipt as a proof of return. And then she sent the proof of return to the person who originally gifted me the item. How very stupid of you? Instead of apologizing for her mistake she kept telling me to use the excuses to tell my friend of why I returned the item. Like seriously?
It shouldn’t have happened in the first place. If you don’t know how to do your job and be decent with your customers then please give the job to someone who knows how to behave.
Williams Sonoma hired people without any training I guess....
Read moreMy husband and I and my niece went to this location on Saturday afternoon after enjoying a great day shopping. When we went into the store, I was stared down by two Caucasian women who are employees there. One with very blond long hair and other had sandy blonde hair was following me in the store.. I could see her in the corner of my eye, NEITHER of them greeting me with a smile, just kept staring at me.. I was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and not happy at all!! Did they think I was going to steal something from the store??? By the way, my husband is Caucasian, so there’s that. WE as a married couple spend a lot of money in these stores, so I hate to think that THESE employees at the Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, California treats customers who come into the store with prejudices...
