Webhead Computer Repair — Attraction in Sandy

I first came here about a week ago because I had build a new system and moved my old one to a case a friend gave me and that old case had a bad PSU. When I turned it on it appeared my RAM had been fried. I didn't have any other ram to test in the box once I put a new PSU in, so I called Webhead and asked if he had any I could do a quick test with. He gracious said yes and to bring my system down. Right away he was able to test some of his RAM and found my old system was still in good working order. Then something incredible happened...

He put my old RAM back in and it booted without issue! I asked how that would happen (please note I've had many years experience building backings full time, than as a hobby over the last 20+ years) and he explained to me that sometimes putting in different RAM will cause something on the motherboard to reset and accept the old RAM. Seriously, in all my years I've never seen such a thing. So not only did Webhead help me right away, but saved me from having to buy new RAM. He was gracious enough to not charge me for the effort, but I still have a tip and ended up chatting for a while. I always enjoy geeking out with fellow computer nerds.

My windows 10 files were corrupted and couldn't reset the PC or do any other recovery or command prompt stuff that could fix it and it was pretty scary because I have had lots of PC related experience and never had a problem I couldn't fix but this time there was nothing I could do so I had to take it to them and they fixed my totally bricked PC in a single day. Just as I suspected, all it needed was a new windows install (which I couldn't do myself since I didn't have one laying around and couldn't reset the PC and I also had no way to transfer my files so heroes came to the rescue!). In addition to that, I needed to transfer files since so they did that too and they decided not to charge me for it which was so incredibly kind of them. My two laptops were in need of updating. I needed to install a solid state drive in each one with more memory. Steve did a great job serving me and helping me meet my needs. I was able to put my full trust in his judgement and professionalism to insure that my computers met my long term needs. I am not computer savy and needed his insight into my needs and his help to figure out how to use what he installed. Wow! What a difference he made in my computers.
