Let’s start with the good: My party of 6 was welcomed at the door. The sushi rolls and appetizers were pretty good. Service was fast from time of order to time of food arrival at table. That’s where the good ends
Now for the bad: the floors were very sticky - especially in the bathrooms. The chairs scrape the floor worse than any nails on a chalkboard could ever do. The men’s room smelled like a combination of mold, dead animal, and waste. The waitress clearly didn’t know the menu, or anything about sushi for that matter. One of my friends asked if they had gluten free soy sauce, to which she replied, “yeah we have free soy sauce.” My buddy emphasized “gluten free” and she said, “we have lite soy sauce which is like the same thing.” … no it’s not. Eventually she went and asked about it and came back to the table just to tell us, “yes we have it if you want it.” Well, we asked for it, so yes we want it. She failed to remember any of our orders correctly, and came back to the table multiple times to ask “what did you order? what was in that?” She brought 2/3 soups (the manager brought the third. She forgot a straw for the kid’s cup (the manager brought one after we asked) She didn’t know the difference between sushi, sashimi, and nigiri. She never asked about refills (luckily the manager did) When our orders arrived, my 7 types of sashimi contained 5 correct types and 2 that I did not order. They were not specified in the description either. The sizzling plate did not match the picture AT ALL! It was supposed to be chicken, beef, shrimp, and mixed veggies (pictured as bell peppers, onions, snap peas, and carrots) but they were water chestnuts, baby corn, garlic, broccoli, and carrots. The whole thing tasted like a sweaty shirt. Just garlic and water chestnuts. Lost my entire appetite after a couple bites. The sushi orders were all mixed together and combined on each other’s plates rather than being separated by person. When we got the checks they were all wrong, and she asked us to write the corrections on them. She never asked if we wanted boxes, though we had food left on plates as we paid. Lucky for her we didn’t have any interest in bringing home the food we didn’t eat.
Such a bad experience. I tipped the sushi...
Read moreWorst place I have ever eaten at. Every time we get the same waiter and he is always rude and not very attentive. We all sat at the table with the grill on it and everyone ordered "all you can eat" except for me, so he said that if I eat off the grill I have to pay 18 bucks. I already knew that and wasn't about to eat something I didn't order, so the comment was unnecessary. Then when the grill burned he didn't change the grill out but changed it out for another table. Then we saw him picking his nose while he was watching us. Then when it was 30 minutes to 3 he told everyone that they close at 3. If they were in such a rush to close, why take a reservation for over 20 people? They should understand that when 19 people are eating all you can eat it is gonna take a minute to cook everything and everyone is gonna wanna stay for a while. Then he asked everyone if they wanted ice cream and asked everyone what flavor they wanted, then when I said what I wanted he said "not for you. You didn't get the all you can eat." He could have specified that ahead of time saying something like "for those who got all you can eat what would you like for desert?", but he made it seem like he was being nice and he said it was free then humiliated me in front of everyone when he was the one who set the standard. Absolutely horrible service. Every time I come here I regret it. I only came here because my relative likes to come here, but I will never be back. I have never had such bad service in my life. Oh yeah, and everytime I go to use the bathroom it is wrecked. Once I saw the toilet was clogged, then the last time I was there I saw it was...
Read moreCool vibe walking in but left disappointed. While waiting for our first round of meats to arrive, I went to the salad bar. There were very few options but also horribly unclean plates everywhere. All of the sauce trays had crumbs in them and the shiny plates had visible stains on the edges. Same with the silverware.
From the sauce choices, the chili paste was absolutely rancid. It tasted like old peanut oil, which is shocking since I’ve eaten 2+ year old chili paste that was already opened without flavor issues. It didn’t have any of the spice you would expect either.
They only allow 1.5 hrs to eat, and the grill was cooking so slowly it felt intentional to run the clock. We kept needing to turn the heat up. Once we finished our first round of meats, it took maybe 15 minutes just to get the next order. Our drinks were empty half the time, and our waiter was infrequently seen. The third round of meats took at least 20 minutes to get to the table, and repeatedly we had items missing from what we had verbally ordered.
As for the meat flavors, many of the items lacked seasoning/marinade and cooked bland. Do NOT order the pork belly, it was like rubber and just tasted like you were eating the fat. The sides are pretty good, the best was the Jalapeño poppers. The crystal noodles were super fun and well seasoned.
Auto gratuity of 18% is added for groups of 5 or more. That’s a high expectation when you’re cooking your own food. Overall was decent food, but for the price, it’s just not up to par and not worth the visit...
