We came here on a whim. It was a bright clear late spring day. Good 10 knots of wind. All the flags were waving happily. Kite surfers were gliding over the bay. Beautiful boats rocking on the tide in thier births. West Marine was open, as we walked by. The Yacht club was not yet open due to CV 19.

I have never heard anyone CALL this Point Castillo, but it's a great place to get a view of the harbor and the mountains, watch the waves, boats, and surfers, get a little spray from the waves at high tide. Very beautiful place. There are some pretty benches shaped like whale fins and a memorial for those lost at sea. It’s a pretty walk here, but you might get spayed with sea water if the waves are tall. I find this place very peaceful and it might just be my favorite spot in Santa Barbara...
