I enjoyed my visit to the museum very much. I particularly appreciated the colorful artwork, the spacious layout, and the wonderful lighting that enhanced the exhibits. The museum's structure felt airy and well-designed, providing an excellent backdrop for the displayed works. Additionally, I was impressed by the gift shop, which featured a diverse selection of high-quality items and attractive displays. Overall, my experience at the museum was truly memorable.

I love a museum with an artist in residence. It's exciting to see how work can inspire others and what today's artists are focusing on. Although the artist wasn't there I was lucky enough to strike up conversation with one of the employees who filled me in on some of the pieces on display. I'm glad the ticket gets you into two museums. They also have nice views of the area.

I’m disappointed to see negative reviews, they’ve only been open for two months and Santa Fe is lucky to have a place like this. If you have a grasp on contemporary art you’d understand that the pieces on display (from the NMMA collection) are legendary (Kusama, Chicago, Martin) and a spacious exhibit layout is meant to make you stop and look at each piece in depth… Seems like most people were deceived by the exterior of the building - there are two galleries on separate floors and a nice terrace. I appreciate that the gift shop is removed from the main building, and the guy who works there is a sweetie. If you’re not keen on the admission price ($7 for NM residents) then plan to go on the free days they offer each month. Take your time and enjoy the stillness inside! There’s some pieces that bring attention to...

Our experience was terrible. While my husband waited in a long line to check us in, I asked security where the restrooms were located. I have a medical issue where I bleed and I needed to take care of it and they refused me access to the restroom. I emailed the deputy director, Shannon Bay. She apologized and offered us a tour of either museum. I emailed back to schedule and no response. It's clear that the rudness comes from the top. There are many other museums to appreciate and I suggest you go elsewhere especially if you are paying. Luckily, it was on a resident free day and no money was spent. Also, there isn't many art pieces for the cost....only 2 rooms and a nice view on...

Thank you to the other reviewer that noted the tacky donor placards that are literally plastered over every blank surface in the museum. What an eyesore. When you add the fact that this museum looks enormous from the outside and actually has almost all of its space wasted on giant empty corridors with very little art actually on display, this place is a major disappointment. I'm still giving it 2 stars because most of the little bit of art on display is quite good, but what an underwhelming experience. Very poor lighting, too. Shame on the architect who designed this place. If I was the city of Santa Fe, I'd want...
