Peruvian Connection — Local services in Santa Fe

It has been awhile since I was in the Peruvian Connection store in Santa Fe, because my husband and I moved. But, the other day the store manager, Angela reached out to me via email with 2025 fall selections I might be interested in. I was delighted to hear from her. As I no longer live in New Mexico, I was thrilled to be contacted. I had been purchasing online, but online shopping is so quiet and lonely. I miss the in-person connections that I had when I could visit their pleasant store. And while Angela, the assistant store manager, Tisa and I dealt with sizing via email and texts, I was dealing with pleasant, caring, humans—so much nicer than one-sided website interactions. I can’t wait to visit Santa Fe again. The Peruvian Connection store is tops on my list to visit. And in the meantime, I will continue to shop directly with Angela and Tisa, because everything they suggested I purchased and will cherish. Absolute compliments on Peruvian Connection's choice of manager at the Santa Fe, New Mexico store. Angela is extremely polite, professional, and most important to me, hard-working. She sought out an item for me, discussed sizes, helped me choose the right fit over the phone, followed up multiple times to help me place the order, and was gracious throughout, including closely following up after my item was shipped and after it was received. What a pleasure to work with! I can't wait to meet her in person when I'm in Santa Fe, but in the meantime, I won't hesitate to place another call to her for items I see in the catalogs. She's simply wonderful and I hope she is duly rewarded. The very best of personalized service, she makes you feel cherished as a customer and in a totally genuine way.

Had a “Pretty Woman” experience here. One woman followed me around re-arranging every rack after I touched it. Same woman told me that they didn’t have styles and colors that they did, and then, after I very obviously went into the dressing room to try on a few things (she must have known because I she followed me around the entire time) and my husband walked in looking for me, she told him I had left. After that, I immediately changed back into my clothes and walked straight out. I guess because I’m under the age of 65 (common theme along the women who were meanwhile being treated like absolute queens) and I was wearing hiking boots they figured I wasn’t going to make them any money? Who knows. Gross experience. Glad I didn’t drop a few hundred dollars on one of their dresses. Two stars because the clothes are quite beautiful...
