A Truly Unforgettable Experience — 11 Years Later!
It’s rare to find a business that not only stands the test of time but also goes above and beyond in customer care. We first kayaked with this company 11 years ago and had a few hours leftover from that original visit. Life happened, and we never used them—until now. Not only did they still honor those hours over a decade later, but they’ve relocated twice since then and somehow still had us in their system. Unbelievable!
Sam was the one who helped us out and made the entire experience top-tier. He’s been with the company for 8 years and you can tell — he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great time on the water. The check-in was smooth, the gear was in excellent condition, and the entire staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
We walked away feeling blown away—not just by the kayaking itself, but by the level of integrity, hospitality, and customer service. This is exactly the kind of place you want to support. Thank you for keeping the spirit of adventure (and good business!) alive.

Read moreAt first I thought the price for the all day introductory class was a little expensive compared to some of the other classes I looked at around the Bay Area. But given the individualized attention, array of gear, and the beautiful location of Sea Trek, I now consider it a bargain and will return for more classes.
A big reason for my happiness and satisfaction was our instructor, Benton. Benton was very, very patient in dealing with questions from a bright 10 year old as well as helping an out of shape senior citizen (me) learn the basics of kayaking. His skill and experience was evident as he helped us learn basic strokes, assisted rescue, and self-rescue techniques.
I always felt safe and the day just flew by. Throughout the day, Benton's positivity and good humor buoyed our small class as much as the water. The friendly atmosphere from the moment I checked in until the post-class debrief never wavered. Thank...
Read moreMost kayaking places in the bay area are pretty expensive -- I haven't found any place better than this place. The bay outside sausalito is a wonderful place to kayak. You can do the whole bay on a calm day in a couple hours, see the harbor seals lounging around, see the interesting hippy houseboats. Richardson bay is usually a very protected part of the bay, although one time we had a very hard experience in heavy wind.
The staff are generally very friendly and actually care about helping you. I've been to a few kayak places where the people running it seemed like they were completely stoned, which makes it hard to get instruction. (for some reason this seems common at the outdoorsey places) The staff here do nice things like giving me a plastic bag to put my non-waterproof...
