i usually don’t rate fye this low, but i had a problem with this fye. i love the albums they have and the kpop things they have, and the stuff that they have overall. the staff when i went in the day on may 12, 2022, at around noon, the guy was very friendly, and he even said my name was cool. i liked him and he was friendly. when i went at around seven the same day, the long haired boy working was friendly, but the older man with glasses is who i had a problem with. my bf had tried to purchase him and i some things for $80, his card declined. we thought that that was weird as his card was working at the hot topic we had went to just before. we tried the card again, it declined again. then the guy butts in and says, “we don’t know why it’s declining. it never tells us, it could be that the card doesn’t recognize our computer,” but that shouldn’t matter as i said, we went to hot topic previously and we’ve never been there. he could be right though idk. then the guy says “it could be because you are trying to take off more money than you have, for example, if you’re trying to take of $80 and you have $30 as if he was saying we didn’t have enough money and couldn’t afford what we were buying. it came off sort of rude to us. i told my bf to call the number on the back as it could be saying that it is fraud. he then said, “it wouldn’t matter calling the number on the back if you don’t have enough money,” basically assuming that we didn’t have enough money again. i said that i’ve worked with them before when they’ve accused me of fraudulent transactions. they’re e usually good about letting you use your card if you notify them that it is you trying to use the card. my bf just got money from the atm and paid for our things. we felt like we were being judged that we couldn’t afford what we were buying. i usually have pleasant fye experiences, but this one just bugged me. nothing else was wrong. otherwise an amazing experience with what...
Read moreMy group of 2 others and I have payed a visit to FYE after buying a cup of fro-yo from TCBY. Whilst we were checking out their collection of overpriced albums with intent to purchase, I accidentally dropped a little bit of the yogurt onto the ground and shared a laugh over it with my peers. I then went to go ask one of the cashiers if they had any tissues, napkins, or just anything in general so I could clean it up. However, he brutally refused having any. I went and told my friends about the situation, and one of them went to go ask again. The worker gave her a cleanex, on her way back she cleaned herself off first, and as any other teenager we laughed about it again. Though that singular cleanex wasn’t enough to clean everything up, so one of the two friends and I walked back to the cash register to inform the employees about it. However, as we were on our way, the same cashier and his coworker confronted us about the mess. I replied “Yes,” but that was all I could get out before his coworker yelled at us to get out of the store. Of course we did without any further instigating, but he didn’t give us even a chance to speak, and even before the two workers noticed the spill they still held a rude manner to us. The way the employees treat their customers...
Read moreMy friends and I recently visited the FYE store after picking up some fro-yo on the way. However, we accidentally spilled a little. My friend then went to go ask an employee for a napkin, offering to clean the mess up. The worker said he didn't have any while there was a box of tissues RIGHT behind him. Not even a minute later, the same employee and his coworker had accused us that we hadn’t taken any steps to clean it up. We are responsible young adults who are fully capable of addressing these kinds of situations. If they asked us about it KINDLY and provided the necessary materials, we would have taken accountability and done so. But it seemed like the worker clearly was NOT LISTENING when we first approached them about it! Both workers escalated a common issue for no reason, and harshly demanded us to LEAVE. Is this any way to treat paying customers who keep you in business?? I understand that we are considered young adults and are labeled "immature", but that is quite literally the target demographic of this store. I don't recommend going here, unless you want to deal with rude employees and even ruder prices. They are charging $35 for an album that you can buy at Target for $17! Both the service and prices of the products...
