Cleaning out my jewelry box from years of accumulation I decided there were some pieces that were no longer relevant to me, or would not be worn, I decided to do some research on where the best place is to bring jewelry for purchase. I immediately came across ED Marshall in Scottsdale, and being that I am not much of a fan of a "pawn shop" or am in the position to need to be "pawning" anything, I decided this may be a good place to check out. I loved that they have online scheduling with immediate availability (3 buyers on site), but they also appear to pay well. I scheduled for the next day and made my trek out to Scottsdale. The parking was abundant, and facility very secure with a "buzz in" locked gate upon arrival; they just open it when you arrive, you don't have to wait or anything. I brought in my VERY random variety of little pieces and checked in with the gal at the front. She advised there was only 1 buyer there that day, as the other two were at a show, but they would be with me shortly and offered to begin to look at my jewelry and set it up for the appt. I felt very comfortable here, and everyone was so friendly and inviting. As I waited, I walked around and saw some of the most beautiful pieces ranging from antique/vintage to current, specially-designed works of art. The buying process was simple; all pieces were evaluated, they asked for my ID, and wrote me a check. James Dutra was knowledgable and answered all my questions during the entire process, with a level of professionalism that didn't make me feel "less than" for having basic jewelry for evaluation. He advised that the price of gold had jumped up tremendously recently and that if I have anything else, to bring it in. If you're looking for a special piece that doesn't look like it was bought at a mall jewelry shop, or maybe are like me and just ready to part with some pieces, this place is the best you will find and I highly...
Read moreI had my eye on a RAYMOND WEIL Watch so, I went online because when I had shopped on RAYMOND WEIL website, Macy's and numerous other places the watch that I had my eye on was nowhere to be found. I went online feeling that I was on a mission to find it when I came across E.D.Marshall Jewelers site. I couldn't believe it..I found the exact watch that I had been looking for. I debated in my mind whether or not to "trust" making the purchase. Of course, mind over matter I decided to take a chance and purchased the watch online..still feeling a bit apprehensive making such a large purchase. Of course, I put it on a charge card..just in case it wasn't legitimate. I even called them and in doing so, I spoke with a "gentleman" and I felt reassured that my purchase was on my credit card and my purchase would be on the way shortly. Several days later my new longed for watch was delivered to my home. I am thrilled with my purchase. Needless to say..E.D.Marshall Jewelers are very professional and left me with the fact that I am very pleased with them, as well as my purchase. So, I can assure you that you all would feel the same way I do about doing business with them. If I decide to make a another jewelry purchase I will most definitely look to them 1st. Normally, I would bypass giving my thoughts regarding my experience. However, because I was so impressed with them..I felt compelled to do so.They definitely fall in a class of "Exellent Customer Service"!! ...
Read moreI was recently texted from Jill asking if I would do a review for this jewelry store. Up until now I had chosen not to as I did not have a good experience. I took my family heirloom ring to their store to be re-sized so I could wear it. The lady that assisted me was very pleasant, she sized my finger and sent it up for sizing, no issue. I went back to pick it up a few weeks later when it was ready, the lady who assisted me initially was out of the office so a man helped. The ring did not fit; I was genuinely disappointed as I waited weeks for this very expensive ring that is extremely sentimental to me. It was hard to let it go for that many weeks, let alone the sadness when it didn't fit. They refused to correct the error, they would not size the ring so it fit unless I paid the entire amount for a second time, they offered zero assistance and very poor customer service at pickup.
This combined with the $200 they offered me for a $6500 bridal set was just poor business. I understand diamonds lose their value as soon as you walk out the door, but that offer was quite repulsive. I would have gladly gotten a store credit, traded in the bridal set and purchased something from them if they could have been reasonable about the value and corrected the ring they sized wrong.
The icing on the cake was you guys texting to ask me to do a google review "IF I had a wonderful experience"
I gave you guys the opportunity to correct your error, even requested a follow up after the sizing issue and you...
