Academic Technologies — Attraction in Seattle

A great place to learn, but a terrible place to set your sights on.

Kane Hall is UGLY: it’s supposed to be a futuristic knock-off of Suzzallo Library, but it ended up looking like some sort of monstrous concrete behemoth. The inside could definitely use a renovation as well.

The Walker-Aimes Room is an awesome place to book for events (on the second floor of Kane), and I’ve loved coming to Kane for weekend seminars and classes. Awesome lecture halls with plenty of space...

There's a lack of bathrooms in one of the most visited buildings on campus, complete with crammed and sometimes broken seats, and quite a bit of room noise when taking exams, but it's Kane :P :) It's beautiful though, and definitely worth a visit if touring the UW. The basement has STF where you can rent electronics...

It accomplishes what it sets out to be. A big huge lecture hall for classes. It gets four stars because the chairs are awkward to sit in and get out of and also the odd door that during a lecture you may find yourself staring at. It doesn't fit with the room and is distracting when you're looking...
