I will inform you now, go buy Top Ramen or Cup N Noodle. I want to give this place a zero star. You can make better then this establishment. And there "award winning green tea" tasted like old dish water, dirt and Earthworms. Now we thought that we'd give this place a shot because it said it offered Sushi and Ramen. We get in the place is not that cleanly. Its freezing and they have the air going obviously because its a noisy unit in the ceiling. We get seated and we sit for about 15 minutes, the waiter gets us our order, my friend asks about the sushi, and they waiter says our sushi guy isnt in. Well how do you expect to sell sushi? Well thats because they had only two choices of sushi. So my friend ordered a beef and rice bowl. I also ordered their famous green tea. So we sit for about an hour or so, or so it felt like, and i noticed that when we came in a mom and her two kids had been sitting at the counter, they looked like they were waiting for their food. As we were sitting the lady and her kids got up and she looked pissed and walked out. They had there eating utensils and soup spoons still sitting there untouched, no empty bowls of noodles. We were sitting there for awhile i didnt get my green tea. I asked for my green tea and the guy didnt even remember that i ordered one. So we got our food finally and disappointed. I could have went home and made Ramen myself. We ate or food. Not very much becasue it was not tasteful. And we got up and went to pay. The woman didnt split our bill and i ended up swiping my card mulitpule times to pay for different items. She was RUDE. I wanted to leave at that point and not pay. It wasnt worth how much I paid. I saw also that the kitchen was disgusting as i was paying. I wish i hadnt gone. Horrid choice and i will tell anyone not to go. When we got back to my car we where in there for two hours. And that was...
Read moreI tried Samurai Noodle the 1st time forever ago when I first moved to Seattle and did not particularly remember if I liked the ramen or not. I've been avoiding coming based on the reviews but I just happened to be in the area and decided to give their ramen another try and got the tonkatsu ramen. I set my expectations low and just as I had expected, it was overall disappointing. The ramen's presentation was nice but the broth was lacking depth and flavor. It tasted very watered down. I just slurped it down because I was hungry but it was not worth the price for the quality.
On the positive side, service was fast. I was seated when I arrived. The bowl arrived within 10 minutes after I ordered. It's a quick dine-in experience similar to how it is in Japan.
I don't think I will come back unless they make any improvements to the broth. I've tried practically every ramen restaurant in the greater Seattle area so my standards are very high. The taste of the broth is everything to me when it comes down to enjoying a good...
Read moreUsually pretty good, but had a poor experience with slow waitstaff. Went in at around 11:45 and was immediately seated. Unfortunately it wasn't for another 10-15 minutes that I received a glass of water and then by 12:15 no one had bothered to take my order so I decided to leave. I don't think this is indicative of how Samurai Noodle typically is however this was my personal experience today. My go to orders are the Shouyu or Pork Rice bowl.
Update: Ordered the Shouya with Chicken and it was nothing noteworthy. Very simple dish with only Chicken broth, green onions, noodles and a cutlet of chicken. The chicken was somehow incredibly dry, despite being submerged in broth. It was almost as if they put the chicken on the receiving end of a hydraulic press to extract it of all it's potential flavor. RIP chicken. Otherwise service this time was par and general...
