i had an okay experience with my most recent haircut. i came in hoping to get an inch or so taken off and thin bangs, but when i offered to show a photo, he said there was no need. i was a little confused but stayed hopeful, indicating that i wanted to keep my hair right at my shoulders and no shorter. he said that it’s better to keep it short at the back, which was fine, but then he took out buzzers and started to shave the back of my neck, which is when i started to be a little concerned about the length.

my current hair is at least 2-3 inches too short and nowhere near what i asked for in terms of length (i indicated with my hands where i wanted it to get cut at, and was clear that i didn’t want it to go above there), and there is no hair at the back of my neck because it was buzzed off.

it’s also uneven, which you can see in the photo. part of this falls on me because i wasn’t more assertive in showing him the inspiration photo i wanted but based on the positive reviews here i was hoping that he would still deliver what i was asking for.

i’m just overall disappointed that it was so short when i asked for only an inch or so cut off and now will have to wait at least a month or more for it to get back to the length i wanted it to be at. i’m not sure i’d be willing to come back, but maybe if i’m able to show him a photo next time i’ll have a better result. total cost was...

Provided pictures of previous hairstyle with multiple angles. The end result was nothing like the photos provided. Hair length ended up at least 2 inches shorter than expected even when I specifically mentioned that I do not want him to cut my hair too short. He also thinned out the hair way too much. Will take months for me to grow back the hair needed for my expected style.

Do not come here if you want to cut your hair a certain style. They will cut it however they feel like it. Their goal here is to churn through customers as quickly as possible.

When I first went to Hair Salon K, it just seemed like a normal haircut. Nothing special, a simple good cut. But as I kept going, I got closer to the hairdresser and his wife and I began to notice the care and quality of the haircuts. From using quality products when perming, shampooing, and conditioning my hair to offering snacks and water for visitors who arrive early, this salon takes good and genuine care of its customers. Although it may be on the more pricey side for college students, the quality of the cut is definitely worth it and I would recommend this place over any other hair salons in...
