Loved my cut both times I went. However, there is a language barrier issue to be aware of. English is certainly a difficult language, but this situation was handled poorly by the salon. First, the stylist was over an hour late for my 2:30 appointment. I left the salon at 6pm that night. They tried charging me $240 for a haircut and toner. I said multiple times during consultation I only wanted toner, and asked before he applied the dye “This is just toner correct?” he said yes. Come to pay, charged $240. I asked why it was $240, he said for hair dye….they put regular dye on my hair. Turns out, he had no idea what I was asking for and assumed i wanted dye! I said I wanted toner, and the most I’ve paid for a tone has been $65. We ‘compromised’ on $185, for what should have been $120 MAXIMUM. Overall, feeling robbed. I made it extremely clear I only wanted toner, and not only did they fully dye my hair, did not own up to their mistake. I have been coming here for about 2 years with my husband for his haircuts. When my hairdresser from Antonio’s in downtown moved away I decided to give this place a try since they had given my husband a new look that he loves, and they use good products. The first time I sat in the hairdresser chair I realized we couldn’t communicate since he doesn’t speak English, but soon came to realize he is a genius a true artist, so we communicate through the cutters assistant and she’s just lovely. I can come in and show a photo and I walk out with a version that suits my face (this is key) since I don’t look like the model in the photo. I will continue to come to this salon since I know I can throw new hair concepts like this awesome hombre and varied haircuts at them and I’m always happy.
