I am saddened and very disappointed to say I have just had an awful experience today at Head to Toe. After being a client over the past 2.5 years. Facials, nail services, permanent make-up, and lash curls. Today I had my 4th lash curl by a (new to me) technician. She was a delight during the service, noting I tipped her 30%.
Upon check-out; I checked my lashes now in the day light and with my glasses. I mentioned first to the receptionist, and then to another estitician, now also at the front desk, that I was a bit concerned as one set of lashes appeared to be tighter in curl and kinked at the top, and the other set was not consistent (tighter in the center, looser at the ends. Also kinked, but less than the right eye. I asked if I should wet them as soon as I got home to reduce the kinking... I was told to try that and that I could come back in to have them "relaxed" if the issue persisted. I think it important to also note: I had mentioned the concern of "kinking" and I prefer less curl if it safeguarded against the kinking. She told me there was no concern as the new "rods" didn't allow that issue.
By the time I got home and the lashes had a chance to dry completely, both sets of lashes we completely kinked - so much so... they were pushing back into my eyelids. I wet them completely three separate times, all without results. I then coated them in coconut oil, in effort to relax the treatment done in excess.
I phoned the spa and let them know the problem worsened over time and I was not having any result with soaking them with water or coconut oil! I asked for assistance and a credit to my service charge. The receptionist; I believe Rachel -said she would contact Joni the owner and either herself orJoni would be back in touch with a resolution. I had expected to hear back from Joni herself, as Joni had performed all but two of my services to date.
Rachel did return my call as promised; however her tone was very condescending stating Joni had agreed to refund my full service, and recommend I go elsewhere for any further needs or resolution -stating "we don't feel we can meet your expectations going forward" offering zero remedy, support or apology! I was shocked, as I was made to feel that the service provided me was not in question and that my expectations were too high. I asked several times how they could just send me on my way, the service was botched and do they think I was egsagerating... I'd been a client on many occasions and never called with a complaint or request of refund, Her tone was beyond disrespectful. Insisting there was nothing they could do for me... After serval additional requests for help she said perhaps a senior estitician could offer some assistance tomorrow but honestly doubted they could help the situation, and continued making me feel as though I was in the wrong. Needless to say I will be seeking a resolution from another spa or salon.
I'm still dumbfounded how this very unfortunate situation falls on me the client, and no responsibility nor even a friendly apology from anyone involved; receptionist, technician or Joni herself - I guess It's very true... the gage of a great business and business owner is how they remedy an error. As we all reognize no individual or any one business is perfect, but it certainly speaks volumes on how you're treated when something goes wrong- !
In closing I wish you all well with your continued support of Head to Toe, and hope you never have a service go south... For the record -I have never written a negative report towards anyone or any business. I'm just so completely disappointed and...
Read moreThis review is not for the service, but about how the spa was negligent with a gift certificate we purchased for someone. I was sent in by my wife to purchase a gift certificate for someone at our daughter's school. it was a pooled gift, so I paid the $150 that we collected from all the parents, got my gift card and left. I found out later from the wife, that the gift card was for a different volunteer, so we changed the name on the gift card and gave it to the correct person. Months later, we got a message from a different person involved with the school, in which they stated upon checking out at the spa for a recent treatment, they had a credit on their account and thank you for thinking of them. We were both shocked as to why she had a credit from us, but then realized the spa attached this gift card to her account. The action of applying this gift card to an account was never stated to me or implied when I purchased the gift card, so definitely caught off guard. I called the spa, explained the situation, and they rudely told us there was nothing they could do. I was shocked not only at the rude nature of the staff, but the misleading practice of just adding a gift card to someone's account without explaining or confirming the identity of the recipient. And the name is a fairly common name, so it could have been another person with same name too. Warning to potential clients to purchase gift cards carefully and the overall rude nature of the staff. PS We ended up buying another $150 gift card for the correct recipient with our own money. Will NOT recommend this...
Read moreHadn't had my eyebrows waxed since pre-pandemic so I was quite overdue- Head to Toe is more than I usually spend on this service but wanted to ensure cleanliness and safety in these crazy scary times. You get what you pay for, and Jodi did a FANTASTIC job- seriously, she transformed my eyebrows from caterpillars. I feel like a whole new woman when I look in the mirror, and I owe it to her attention to detail and professionalism. I'll definitely be back next time I am in Seattle, at the very least for the margarita scented...
