OAKTREE MOTEL (PERMANENTLY CLOSED) — Attraction in Seattle

Let me begin my review by saying Seattle is an expensive city and if you're paying $55 for a night to stay somewhere with less than a 10-minute Drive to downtown areas like the Space Needle and Seattle Center your not going to get all the amenities and luxuries of a three four or five star Sheraton or Hyatt like the ones in downtown which would cost you at least three to four times the amount of the oak tree. But you have to be pretty thick skinned to not feel uncomfortable at the oak tree, there is no microwave and it is not very clean. The shower in my room was clogged with aluminum foil balled up from some drug addict staying there before me. Also the hot water at the hotel barely works. Especially during the busy times when most people choose to do their showering I had the hot water on full blast for over an hour without getting even lukewarm but then later on in the day it got warm no problem but did not last. Not family friendly and not safe for females by themselves or even in groups due to hwy 99 aurora being the prostitution mecca. If it's just a guy by himself no sweat as long as your not a prude. It is what it is..Very cheap at $60 per night which is significantly cheaper then pretty much any other motel in Seattle..And the $ stays the same year around but there's no discount for purchasing more nights at once & there's no online booking. In fact I think ive been told I can only pay in cash when I tried to use my debit card.. The rooms are very basic with a fridge, a community microwave outside by the office, soda machine & free WiFi..The rooms are never super clean but they have updated the floors to wood laminate so they have no carpet which makes them cleaner..The managers name is Mike and don't expect any polite customer Svc from this super grumpy gentleman.. Long time ago, this was called the Green Lake Motel. I stayed here for over a year, maybe even a year and a half.

I got kicked out in a single day just because some stupid people that lived in a house across the street started throwing garbage at us and kicked our car door causing a huge dent in it. Police were probably called because the stupid people was yelling at us in the middle of the street for nothing. We just got home and pulled into the parking lot!!! And we get kicked out because of the stupid people. I would give this place a zero star if I could.
