Union Market & Teriyaki — Attraction in Seattle

Love this place. Better selection than most places - they clearly care about carrying the right/good stuff and it's cheap! They have a better selection of mexican spices than most big chain groceries, for instance.

The thing I LOVE is their beer selection. Cheapest Dale's Pale Ale from Oskar Blues in Colorado I've seen. It's a balanced, mean, overproof pale ale that half the breweries out there would classify an IPA. It's delicious and it's $9.19 there (tall boy 24 oz cans too!). Old Chub, a bunch of New Belgium, etc. They have your volume lagers too, and chips & salsa. The folks running the place are really nice, the selection of convenience store goods is solid, and the food is good value. I didn't love the chicken teriyaki but it gets the job done for cheap and the cheese steak was everything I wanted it to be (within reason, not gonna have the same expectations at a convenience store in Seattle as I'd have at a cheese steak place in Philly or some wildly expensive yuppy popup that charges 25 bucks to nail a 10 dollar sandwich). An urban general store! This marvelous convenience store has a variety of groceries and sundries--pretty much everything you could need. It is like a miniature Fred Meyers: good beer and wine selection, clothes, art (holographic lions and the like), a great assortment of candy, hardware, etc. They even have a small cafe serving teriyaki and burgers and I have heard nothing but good things about the food.
