Honestly this is the first time I post a bad review upon this place. Came in Saturday afternoon 5pm, was assigned to a guy in purple hat, tattoed arms, tiny braided at the back, hispanic I guess. I literally asked him to just clean up, shorten everything. I have been keeping the same form, the same style for 5 years. I went here multiple times for cleanups and they were fine, but this guy seems to not understand the assignment, tapering on the sides, thinning top and back, how is that so hard? He buzzed off my entire right side, leaving the top uneven?! I was frustrated and said "it's too short". Then he picked up the scissors, I asked what for, he said he was gonna fixed, and ended up shortening my right top, making it more uneven Honestly if you don't understand just ask the customer again or ask to see model photos. You have too many barbers which mess up your store and they still hanging around? Really disappointed. I'll have my cap on for the rest of the month. Below is the photo I asked him to follow, the other 4 are his result. I remember that I carefully asked to get the top shortened gradually as it goes back like in the photo, so it stays long at face/forehead, and short at the back. Really, I don't know if it was my fault for not having a good communication or he just didn't want to do it the way I want it, what a joke. Update: Problem fixed! I'm happy with that, you deserve the other 4 stars

I had great experiences here before when I'm at UW but not this time. I'm not a picky person especially thinking about the price but this is really the worst haircut I've ever had. It's a Sunday afternoon (6/16) with no one inside besides two barbers. Haircut: They didn't even cut the temple (photo attached), this is the basic standard for a haircut and it is so ugly. Barber: two barbers one looks like hispanic (he called me chino) and another looks like asian. They are definitely racists. One asked me if I am chinese spy?! This is Ave with so much chinese restaurants and students so you are comfortable living with so many spys? Besides, with all the weird questions like if I am married, if I will get married? Please this is definitely not normal questions customers should be asked during a haircut. PLEASE be respect to your customers. Spend a few more dollars in other places to get a better hair cut and barber..

I asked for a head shave and a beard trim. Beard short on the sides, leave it long on the bottom, and fade it in. I wear glasses and couldn't see what she was doing while cutting my beard. She essentially shaved my beard off and also missed big patches on my head. Her hands reaked of cigarettes. Unbelievable. Before and after below. Messed me up good.

I’m really sorry to say this, but I wanted to share my recent experience. I’ve been to your shop about six times now, and I’ve always had a great experience, especially with Pablo and Dan — they’ve been fantastic. However, during my last visit, I was with Richard. While he was pleasant at the beginning, things took a turn toward the end of the haircut.

I had shown him a photo and clearly explained that I wanted a fade on the sides, a trim on the back, and to keep the length on top. He nodded and acknowledged, so I assumed he understood. But as he started cutting, he unexpectedly began trimming the top as well. When I asked him why he was doing that, his response was, ā€œI can’t help.ā€ That moment felt quite rude and dismissive, especially after my hair had already been cut much shorter than I wanted.

I was really disappointed with how the interaction went. I didn’t feel heard or respected, and that’s never happened at your shop before. I just hope in the future, if there's confusion, it can be handled more respectfully and professionally.

That said, I truly appreciate the great service I’ve received in the past, and I will definitely return — but only with Dan or Pablo. They’ve always listened and delivered exactly what I asked for. Thank you for the previous great experiences, and I hope this feedback helps improve...

I’ve been coming here for haircut for past 4 years, since when I moved to Seattle for my grad studies. I finished my grad program in 2020 and moved to Downtown, but I still come here because of the quality and behavior of the barbers. However, in last couple of occasions, my experiences were very bad. There is this old black bald guy (his nameplate was not there) who is extremely rude and unprofessional. Last month I had a not so great experience, but I thought that maybe the guy is old and that’s the way he talk, so I ignored. However, today I again had my haircut from the same guy and he kept on saying that ā€œdo not moveā€ even though I was sitting still the whole time. After a certain point, the guy literally started shouting ā€œdo not moveā€ and started blabbering. He made me feel very insecure and the way he was behaving as if he was giving me the haircut for free. He didn’t even cut my hair evenly, and said he was done. I don’t think I am going back again to this shop and I do not recommend this place to...
