20+ years of ownership with Wyndham and this was our first visit to Sedona. This resort's location is PERFECT! Restaurants, groceries, shopping, activities, hiking.....all within walking distance or a short drive of 2-3 miles. We rented a car and were thankful we did. Our Grand Canyon day trip exceeded expectations! SO much to see and do in Sedona. Thankful for a friendly and knowledgeable staff, who assisted in booking our Pink Jeep Tour (with Wyndham discount included) and also offered discounts to local restaurants, etc. The pool/hot tub was clean, very nice and never over crowded. In fact, on our last day, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub alone, in spectacular, sunny, low 80 degree weather. We loved our second floor, 1 bedroom deluxe suite. We purposely requested the 2nd floor to take advantage of the incredible red rock mountain views, which did not disappoint. The balconies are LARGE and include a table and chairs for enjoying meals or simply relaxing in comfort, while enjoying the amazing Sedona sunrise/sunset. I read previous reviews stating that the resort is in need of an upgrade. Our unit was very clean......carpet, living and dining room furniture seemed new and in great condition. We had 2 cracked ceramic tiles in our kitchen that need replaced/repaired. We did bring it to the attention of the property, as the tile did lift anytime you stepped on it and since it was smack-dab in the middle of the kitchen area, that happened frequently. Although we enjoyed the separated bathroom area.....shower and sink in one area, where door could be closed, and then second larger sink area, with closet for storage and sunken jacuzzi tub in other area, the shower was dated and stained. Water pressure was also pretty weak. Other than those minor items, we would absolutely stay at this property again. Staff was always friendly and willing to accommodate any requests or accommodations for extra toiletries, tips on what to do in the area, etc. I even bought stamps from the front desk to mail our beautiful, complimentary post cards that were given upon check in. Grounds are beautifully manicured and maintained. On our second to last day, the property was beautifully decorated for Fall. Thank you, Club Wyndham - Sedona, for a trip...
Read moreWe did not experience good customer service at this accomodation. When we initially got in our room and wanted to watch a movie, nothing worked. Unaware it had been unplugged - and unsure why. There was aluminum foil over the vent in the bathroom as per picture. Unsure why but the temperature control in the room was either warm or cold. We were asked to go to a presentation about being able to use our points more effectively and told we would get a voucher for 50% off and an adventure at a discounted price. We had to cancel the adventure as they did not want someone with a backinjury and I had just been rear ended. My husband wanted to play golf but was told we needed no voucher, then went to golf and they said we did. I called or spoke to different people a total of 7 times but no voucher arrived at the golf facility. The golf resort were nice enough to give us a discount "Friend of a member" which was similar to the Wyndham. When we went back in to ask what had happened about the voucher, essentially was told "oh, you don't need it, you got the discount." Well, if that is true why didn't the multitude of people that we spoke to, tell us that without going through so much stress with all the calls. At the presentation if you don't buy at $105,000 then the presenter's attitude changed even though he initially said he didn't care whether we bought or not. The whole experience was horrible and the presenter stated that Wyndham really wants high customer service for their owners, but that is not what we experienced. The girl who checked us in, was helpful and fixed our VCR. One of the female concierge's also returned our call and attempted to follow up. The room was tiny for a 1 bedroom, kitchen extremely tiny with few items in the cabinets. I would not recommend wyndham. I don't think it is worth going to the presentation as the expectation is that you will buy! Certainly not worth the stress of so many call's to get a...
Read moreClub Wyndham Sedona used to be a nice place to stay in Sedona. Maybe we got a bad room. But first the good things. ||Staff are very friendly, and the location is lovely (as are most locations in Sedona). The neighborhood is mostly quiet, although loud exhaust noise from the highway occasionally intruded. The room was clean and comfortable, and the washer-dryer combo helped us reduce the amount of clothing we needed to pack. The kitchen is adequate.||Not so good --||The kitchen counter space is tiny. The toilet flushes unreliably -- often requiring a second flush. The bathroom door actually rubs the front of the toilet when it opens and closes. One of our two one-bedroom units also had many problems, such as the air conditioner not working initially, a light out over the counter, the refrigerator freezing all of the food, the key needing to be reprogrammed almost daily (for a 10-day stay), the main computer being down so the door key could not be reprogrammed on one occasion and so the staff could not contact me about some of these problems on another occasion (even though they had my phone number written on a piece of paper). Most of these problems were addressed -- eventually -- and, as mentioned above, the staff members were always friendly. But I am left with the impression that this location has done a much better job of training staff to be friendly than they have of training staff to...
