STAY FARRRR AWAY!

IF YOU WANT A VACATION GO ELSEWHERE!!

LOOK AT PICTURES TOO!

This place has a PLUMBING PROBLEM that they knew about and mentioned to us AFTER our first night and AFTER I got burnt by their water. We checked in around 4pm almost a month ago and I immediately went to shower. As I went to rinse my hair their water went SCORCHING hot and I threw my body against the shower walls to try to get away from the hot water. Then it went back to the original temperature and I felt it with my hand to make sure I could finish rinsing. Almost immediately after I went to rinse the water went ICE cold. Again, I threw my body against the side of the shower. Then again as I felt the water and felt that it was the original temperature I AGAIN tried to rinse and hurry. Then it went SCORCHING HOT again. This happened between hot and cold a few times as I tried to hurry and kept having to throw my body against the shower walls. My mom and I came here to relax for a weekend and this back and forth burning hot water and freezing water caused me to have seizures and ruined our entire weekend vacation that hadn't even started yet! I was up all night because my muscles were spasming and my back was locking up. I didn't have my medication because I did not have a seizure in many months (almost a year) and had no reason to, as nothing had caused my nerves so much STRESS!! I went out to the office in the morning and spoke to Tristen and told him the whole situation. He stated that they had a known plumbing problem that was causing water to go from burning hot temperatures to freezing cold temperatures when the dishwasher ran. This was NOT disclosed at the time of booking, scheduling the vacation (which we called them many times to make this vacation work with our schedules) or check in. They should have said something about when to shower or not shower. I was up all night in pain because my muscles and spine were spasming. I did not sleep at all and we could not leave that night because I was the driver but couldn't even sit up. Tristen said he would talk to the manager about getting a refund (which a woman named Leah later told us we would get) and we would have to talk to Living Social (where we bought the vacation package) and tell them we are working with the lodge for the rest of the refund and that the lodge approved the refund for living social but that the decision would come down to living social. According to living social, they asked this lodge if they would approve this refund due to the medical injuries it caused and the lodge denied the refund. They also denied our refund that was paid directly through the lodge, the one that Leah said we would get.

On top of that, the fireplace had broken glass coverings which someone could accidentally cut themselves on, the bathtub was stained and filthy at the time of check in, cupboards & doors were coming off the hinges, pillows were coming apart, the flooring of the bathtub felt like it was caving in, the lock to the private entrance gate didn't line up and had been Jimmy rigged and the caulking of the sink and tub needed to be redone. It was just FILTHY.

We spoke to Leah again today August 2, 2018 (we have had many back and forth calls and voicemails with her) and she has gone back on her word and claims to not know anything about a plumbing issue though Tristen openly shared this information as soon as he found out about it causing seizures and burning me.

We are still battling this out with our bank and The Lodge at Sedona and are now pursuing getting a lawyer involved due to...

So I went to the Sedona Retreat 3 times as a year follow up to being treated successfully for breast cancer Type 11) at the Immunity center in Mexico. I did a 25 day water fast which helped normalise most of my labs in regards to type 2 Diabetes and high b/p. The property is lovely and well located.||I bonded with many of the retreatants when there. There was no art therapist which I thought there would be so I spent my own money to start rock painting and also bought puzzles which brought community together and was fun. ||There Gerson-like ( not Gerson as is done at the Gerson Institute) is very hard to follow hen you leave there and go back to work or real life but they suggest you continue for best results for 2 years. Knowing this I started a support group for after which is still Ongoing today ( Feb 2025). We all agree that it has been a vital||Piece once you go home to be able to text each other and continue researching cancer and share our findings in all things cancer related and further support including other treatment centers we have gone to and what results we have had. ||||I recently Moved to Sedona because I loved it Sedona so much. ||||I am a very caring person who values ethical behaviour highly. You can ask anyone who knows me including most of the medical staff and other clients that got to know me and stay in touch with me. ||||That being said I can tell you that I can no longer recommend SWR anymore for cancer treatments. If my own cancer ever returned I would go to Sanoviv in Mexico or back to the Immunuty Center which was a lot cheaper but still had more than enough treatment options for anyone from stage 1-4! ||||Please look elsewhere for treatments cause they are out there. There have been some people who have done well and I celebrate that. But, despite that I urge you to research any other place before giving this place your trust or money if you are able to choose. What appears lovely on the outside doesn’t mean it’s the same on the inside. ||||So take it or leave it after reading my review . Everyone has a right to choose but I cannot be silent anymore. I would want to know what I know myself if I hadn’t been there and had serious illness. One cannot compromise in anyway over Life and death issues is how I feel. ||||Dr Ryan.. if you respond to my review here because I’ve been told you do, I will not read anything you have to say. If I see you or your family around town I will Not engage. I hope SWR becomes just a bed and breakfast and nothing more.i have heard from so many clients besides myself via text or phone calls how they feel like I do for the same reasons and more and I have proof of all of those correspondences if you force me to back myself up. People trusted me so much they came to me instead of you or office staff. ||||Drs become like Gods to patients when they are really sick. You know this yet you take advantage of this vulnerability and seem to be unresponsive to any criticism at all. So I can’t waste anymore time trying to offer great advice because you aren’t choosing to remain unaware and uncaring and so i leave you to yourself. I just don’t want others to suffer because they don’t know the things I know....

Sedona Wellness Retreat is a very special, healing place. I would not hesitate even a second to book here. I would go again in a heartbeat.||The setting is perfect. It feels like home, amongst a family. This place is truly a gem in the USA…whether you have cancer, ANY type of illness, if you are wanting to detox from sugar, or simply wanting to up your wellness game, this IS THE PLACE. Follow their guidance, and you will leave better than you came. I got to watch many transformations while there, including my own, so it’s not a guarantee, but I say it with confidence. ||Every person on staff is incredible, including the outside people who offer special classes as part of your stay. If I had to name the star employee, I’d have to name every single one. You’ll feel the same. They all truly care with their hearts. ||I appreciated the comfortable, laid back environment so much Vs “white coat clinical”. After the first day, it felt like home. The doctors are kind and approachable throughout each day during their working hours. The gorgeous grounds were so therapeutic, and there is a view of red rock mountains all around! The location is special. They have so much available onsite, but also, anything you could possibly want or need is in close walking distance - a block or two! ||The satisfying organic meals, cold pressed juices, and non-toxic kitchen practices, is medicine. The meals are carefully prepared with love and care. Clean air, clean food, clean water. Many of you can appreciate why I list these, and you will appreciate the extra efforts they put in. Rooms/beds are comfortable, and rooms are cleaned daily if you wish. They do a great job.||Do not skip out on watching the documentaries, etc, at your leisure in the gathering room. You will learn so many more helpful and important things. ||Dr. Jaden, Diane, Dr. Ryan, Ava, Ellie, and Bella….I cannot thank this amazing medical team enough. I always felt I was in THE BEST hands. ||I had a couple special requests, and this place aims to please, so if you have any concern, a special need etc, just ask them before or during your stay. They are eager to problem solve and accommodate. Get all verbal quotes in writing upfront so there is never confusion. I will stay...
