We went into Staples to return extra Amazon items. Have used this service since the day Staples starting accepting Amazon returns and never had a bad experience with anyone in this Sevierville Staples until tonight. After standing at counter waiting for an associate Josey came over with NO greeting except âAre you readyâ? I said Iâm sorry let me send this text to my SonâŚJosey replied well Iâll come back when youâre ready using a rude smirk as she walked away. Apparently Josey forgot I had been standing there for a long time with noone there to wait on me but never said a word. If this wasnât bad enough things went down hill from here. I was given command after command on ways to hold my items, my phone, where to lay my items and how to lay my items so she could scan. It was the most chaotic mess I have ever seen and have never been talked to with such rudeness. She made a very easy task into something extremely complicated. I finally said I really donât know what you are wanting me to do with all these orders you are telling me and your contradicting yourself. I was then told Iâm trying to make it easier for myself and Iâm just going to get someone else to finish you as she proceeded to the printers slamming things In that area. I have lived in this county for over fifty years, managed businesses my entire life and have never left a bad review for anyone. I do not know if she had a horrible day, the store was short handed or if she is just this rude and smirky but the last place Josey needs to be is dealing with the public. I was at the register with some gummie melatonin and immunity, and Caribou K-cups when I noticed all the four packages of gummies were past their "best if used by" dates. Some in 2023! They were on sale, not surprising! I'm glad I caught it before purchasing them. After leaving the store and almost home, I decided to check the K-cups, too. Lo and behold, it had a "best if used by" date of April 2024, and was not on sale! If I didn't live 30-45 min away, I would definitely return this item! This has happened to me before at this store, but I just brushed it off as I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning the items. So if you decide to purchase any perishables at this store, be sure to check the expiration or "best if used by" dates! I will not be purchasing anything at this store in the future.
UPDATE: I was contacted by the store management after my review had posted. They were quick to apologize and wanted to make things right. I was refunded for the item I purchased. Every time I go the service is fantastic, it is always consistently good service. I want to commend them no matter who I'm interacting with, It is absolutely phenomenal genuine service. They are always busy when I go but they always take a moment to acknowledge you and let you know that they see you and they will be with you momentarily. I recently had a package that I was tracking and it was showing label created, but not delivered and the lady I dealt with today Stacy, went over and beyond to figure out what was going on with the package and she found a discrepancy and my package was actually delivered already.
