Wells Hollow Farms — Attraction in Shelton

Came here after a long shift and a doctor appointment. Perfect ending to my day. Tried 3 things banana cream pie and key lime pie flavored ice creams and a detox water with strawberry and orange. The stand out was banana cream pie ice cream hands down a 10. The next would be the detox water. Let me explain I absolutely love lime flavored things. Like it's my number 2 flavor I love strawberry more but only fresh. So the key lime was good but missing the lime like I could taste it but not strong overall it was a great flavor. I wanted it to be more tart it was sweet. The banana cream pie was it was just phenomenal. I felt like I was eating a pudding ice cream but in the best way possible. The lady at the register was polite and sweet. That made my evening. It gets all the stars. Perfect June evening. I even watched a few amazing acts of kindness, small things, but still noticed. I even love that they have a time out chair. It's so family oriented. I love that. The view was pretty had some seating. There's a shelf inside and I saw so many farm animals on it the decorations are cute outside the chicken and egg basket. I want to come back it was a good way to unwind...

A quick stop for something to drink quickly changed into an exploratory moment.. lol. As i walked toward the farm i passed 4 adorable cows just grazing on grass. When i got to the front i saw the massive amount of pumpkins in every variety imaginable; some of them are HUGE! They also were selling flower plants, cactus, apples, house plants and i also saw hay for sale. In the back they have their own creamery where they make everything onsite. They also sell locally farmed organic honey and a bunch of other things.. It was nice and relaxing walking through this farm. We’ve been longtime customers at this ice cream shop, but today we had a frustrating experience. Our cashier overcharged us by $8 because she didn’t ask and just charged us for waters that we brought ourselves. When we pointed it out, she didn’t apologize or correct it until we spoke up.

Then, when we asked if we could change the toppings on our banana split, suddenly there was extra charge added, plus it asked for a tip which felt unexpected and unfair.

I understand mistakes happen, but assuming things without asking and charging extra without explanation feels...
