My family and I have been part of the Church on the Ridge community since 2019, when we made the move from Kingston to Snoqualmie. Back then, we were relatively new to the Christian faith and were on the lookout for a church where we could deepen our spiritual journey and connect with people in our new area. It was our neighbor who recommended COTR, so we thought, "Why not?"
The moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth by Jeff and his team. And that Sunday also happened to be the Newcomer's Lunch after the service, so we got to enjoy a free meal while Pastor Charlie shared the church's vision and mission with us. We were instantly drawn to their focus on Life, Community, and Purpose.
What really sealed the deal for us was the fantastic youth program they offered, which was just what our teenage son needed. Since then, we've been regular attendees at COTR, and the impact on our family has been truly transformative. Our marriage is stronger than ever, and our son has grown significantly in his faith and confidence in sharing his love for Jesus.
We've also become active members of a community group and eagerly look forward to our weekly meetings. Church on the Ridge has become more than just a place to worship and hear God's word; it's where we've formed meaningful connections. We can't say enough good things about COTR – we...
Read moreI say this with the heaviest of heart. My husband and I were members (regular attenders) of COTR and even donated a significant amount of money to the new building. We also went on a pilgrimage with Pastor Charlie and others to Israel. We spent years at this church, serving and participating. I believe that I even left a positive review for the church many years ago. However, I always had a feeling something was just not quite right for our family. This is a “seeker” church meaning that the content is geared towards reaching non-believers. If you are a believer in Jesus, this church will not fulfill you scriptually. However, the issues at this church are much deeper and it leads directly to the pastoral staff. All I can add (respectfully) is to just look at their turnover rate and seek out prior staff who have worked under the pastoral team. There is a lack of fair treatment, especially for women, and the church is a business at the end of the day that doesn’t operate in accordance with state and federal laws. Just be cautious. They have already lost one lawsuit with another forthcoming. Church should be about Jesus’s NOT religion. I know this is a controversial review but it is honest and needs to...
Read moreMy story is an easy one. I signed up for Church on the Ridge (COTR) pickleball on Saturday mornings and got to know some people and Ethan. He runs all of the sports leagues here and there are many! I hadn’t been to church in a long time. I tend to be on the shy side until I get to know you. Stepping out of my comfort zone is a BIG step for me. I decided one morning to try COTR. I told myself, “Be brave”. When I walked into the church for the first time I was greeted by Jeff who right off the bat made me feel welcome. I sat alone in the church not knowing anyone or so I thought. Next thing I know Ethan has sat beside me. I am not alone. The music at first was a little shock but I loved the energy!! When Pastor Charlie got up to speak, the first thing he said was, It’s ok to be afraid but be brave!! Those words were spoken directly to me. I have become part of a loving supportive community that really cares about all who want to find or get closer to Jesus. I have more real friends than I ever thought possible. If you are looking, searching, wanting a community filled with hope and love. Come and check us out. You are not alone here and we do really cool stuff and have...
