The Brandon Mill was built in 1901 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Like several other former mills on the list in Greenville, it has been converted into apartments, helping to preserve the landmark. I've never been inside an apartment, but the former mill and grounds both look beautifully maintained from the outside. In the early 1900s, mill baseball teams were popular and Shoeless Joe Jackson started his baseball career playing for the Brandon Mill.
