This place has changed. Whoever left took its integrity with them. Avoid this fraudulent business. I’d give them ZERO stars if I could. I dropped off an add-a-pearl necklace in 2024, asking them to add pearls to match my age. Time goes by, I realized I never heard from them or picked it up. I stopped by and they said “Nope, we can’t find it, are you sure you dropped it off? Because the last time we texted you to pick up an order was 2022”. It didn’t make sense. I thought I was going nuts. Did I pick it up already? I searched everywhere at home and couldn’t find it. I called them again a week later, “Are you SURE you can’t find it?”. “Nope, we don’t have it”. This necklace was so precious to me, given to me when I was born by a beloved Grandmother. I felt sick with guilt that I may have lost it! I lost sleep over it. A month later the nagging just wouldn’t quit so I called again, asking a THIRD time, “Did you happen to come across a strand of pearls that you didn’t realize you had?”. “No ma'am, we do not have it”. Then two hours later I got a text and a call “We have it, you may come get it”. I was so RELIEVED. But PERPLEXED that it took THREE tries to find it! All this time I was going nuts wondering what I could’ve done with this beloved necklace. It really broke my heart. During the phone call they insisted they tried to reach me. In 2022! I didn’t drop it off until 2024. No one tried to reach me. I decided to look at my call and text logs with my carrier for the month of (and following 2 months) when I dropped it off in 2024. Absolutely NO record of receiving or sending calls from their number. ZERO. I go to pick up the necklace and told them I did not appreciate them telling me THREE times they did not have my necklace when all that time they did. They tried to deflect blame, used an undated handwritten note saying they called me (they could’ve written that the very day they found it for all I knew!). They wanted to CHARGE me the entire amount of $500+. Only ONE employee, Minnie, apologize, the others said “Don’t you ever make a mistake?” They were awful. A MISTAKE?! THREE times?! From a BUSINESS!? I will never go back and will always tell everyone I know to avoid them like the plague. And the kicker? Not. One. Pearl. Was. Added. It had the exact same number of pearls as when I dropped it off. They were supposed to add pearls to match my age, and it was STILL 12 short at the number had I dropped it off in 2024. They just took the necklace, threw it in a box and forgot about it....
Read moreI can no longer recommend Pace Jewelers. I recently purchased a very nice Swiss timepiece, and since I had a couple positive experiences at Pace I decided to take my watch there to have the stainless steel bracelet sized. Jason quickly sized the watch to my wrist. When I got home I noticed upon close inspection that there were marks all over the bracelet from where the hammer hit the steel. There were even a couple of gouges in the stainless steel! I took the watch back to Pace and Jason did a good job polishing out the marks he created and filling in the gouges, but now I have a brand new watch with a bracelet that has already been repaired. This should have been a simple job that any watchmaker could have done. I actually think I could have done a better job by myself. I trusted Pace with my expensive new watch and they let me down. The owner Steve was there while Jason fixed the mistakes he made and he seemed disinterested in the whole thing. I will no longer be going to Pace Jewelers and I would think twice before having your watch...
Read moreI have an antique wristwatch from family overseas. I couldn't find anywhere to even take a look at it after I thought I broke it. This was the only place nearby that had the expertise. For free the kind staff inspected it and said there was no major damage. The nice gentleman told me the only hope to make it tick again is a cleaning and oiling, which ran $175. If it didn't tick afterwards he told me there'd be no charge. I accepted because there's nobody around who could do such a thing. He was honest with me and said it might take a while as they have a backlog. His word was true it took around exactly what he quoted me. The Cleaning and oiling worked! My classic and rare watch from the 1950's works like a new watch!
Bottom line: if you need a treasured piece of jewelry taken care of, don't waste your time and...
