Yet another great Simon mall, Sunset has the same outside vide as the falls ,but with a more inner city with its fake street that goes thru the middle. With a game arcade, bowling, movie theater, countless clothing stores ,and a couple of casual places to eat Sunset makes a wonderful mall to go and hang out with your friends. Just remember your gonna need to pay for parking. Click more for my in depth review!
Scenery: Sunset can be closely matched to the falls in terms of the outside vibe ,but Sunset gives off a much more city vibe with its fake street and styling. With countless benches to lounge around there are also a large water fountain you can just relax by.
Stores: When it comes to stores Sunset has a couple, the mall isn't huge so it only have a few stores. However note that the stores it does have are very nice ranging from polo to gap and banana republic. Its also has a lovely addition of a Barnes and nobles which is great to get some coffee and just lounge around.
Restaurants: If you are looking for a classy date night, Sunset might not be able to hold up to that. Sunset carriers wonderful Restaurants from panera bread, to a sushi maki right around the corner. That doesn't mean you can't get something yummy though, Sunset provides a wonderful selection to satisfy whatever you are craving.
Entertainment: When it comes to finding something to do Sunset provides. Typically malls have clothing stores and a theater. Thats it. Sunset on the other hand has bowling and a game time! Truly you can't be bored, with a gorgeous theater to a awesome strike bowling lane, and a large two story game time. You could spend a hole day here doing different stuff!
Its a wonderful mall, one I personally like to go with my friends to hang out. However remember if you go to see a movie to get your ticket stamped to get half off your parking. Thursday is the discount day for AMC just show your ID...
Read moreA concrete memorial nowadays. A relic of the past when souped up ultracapitalism wasn't yet completely blowing apart the old american strip mall dream.
The only thing standing firm seems to be the movie theater and the book store. Everywhere else is either some small shop scraping a meager living or the faded memories of places everyone used to love before somewhere somehow we just stopped going there.
Hey! Remember the Virgin records store that took up a huge portion of the corner of the building? Summer of 2003 they had free big red gum and we used to snatch up fistfuls of that garbage. We bought cds and DVDs and video games there. Then it was gone and briefly a Bodies exhibit was there.
Remember the Hot Topic? That was a neat place to goth ourselves up. Remember the candy store next to the movie theater ticket area? Remember Scorpico where we could all play Halo or Dawn of War together, online or in LAN parties? Remember taking the metro to go there and crossing US1 and cutting through the parking lot? Remember the guys who sold metro passes for a dollar each so we could save a buck on metro? Remember the people who disappeared mysteriously near the metro station across the freeway?
That's where this place seems to be headed overall; a memorial to when we were younger and the planet a bit less hot. Much like that intact burger king they found recently in 2022 in a Delaware shopping mall. The cruelties of capitalism may eventually demand this place be demolished but until then we still have...
Read moreI paid for parking at the machine outside of the movie theater. It did not dispense my ticket back to me, but instead gave me a receipt. I waited about 30 seconds, but having never been there before, I thought my transaction was complete. When I tried to exit, the parking attendant, Christopher, held me against my will and demanded that I purchase another ticket. I presented my receipt, having paid no less than five minutes ago. He was unmoved and insisted it was my fault for not notifying him from the machine. He and two other employees surrounded my vehicle and would not let me leave. I finally had to pay an additional $8 to get out. This was the most horrific customer service experience I have ever had. I will never go there again and recommend a boycott of this parking garage. If you ever do go there, make sure you get your ticket back from the machine when you pay for parking and hit that call button as soon as it doesn't come out, otherwise they make you buy a whole new ticket when you try to exit. I personally felt like it was a scam. I think the machine is programmed to eat tickets on purpose, because even if you show your receipt at the exit they will not let you out. There is apparently a "help" or "call" button just for this instance. This is no joke. They will not let you leave even with proof of payment with the receipt. The ticket is the only way to lift the arm, although that is against fire code, so just more lies...
