Unfortunately, I tried to return a defective product here. Tidy bowl, ironically. Didn’t work at all. I brought it back in the box with what was left. Unlike other grocery stores, you have to have a receipt to return a single item. If I were an abuser of this privilege, they can track it by drivers license.
Other stores like Publix and especially Aldi Food Mart will take it back with no receipt.
Here they said they wouldn’t do it. And I could go call the manufacturer at some toll-free number and waste my time doing that.
I asked her to kindly throw it out for me.
So whereas I was going to be a regular Winn-Dixie shopper… I can’t go search my receipts because I have so many receipts. Because I’m one of their best customers. They could look that up by name.
Too bad they’re losing a customer. Thanks Carly at the front desk who is wearing a mask…
Also, I’ve told them repeatedly that the liquor store isn’t operational on Google maps or Apple Maps. The store management still hasn’t figured that out yet. Apparently they don’t care that people searching for liquor stores won’t find their store. I think I’ve brought it up at least four times.
The other people working there are generally very friendly and nice.
I am probably just grumpy because of the lack of...
Read moreNormally this store had been great since we moved to the area in July but the other day we were very disappointed in a couple of things. They only had 1 Lane open, we were 4th in line, there were 5 more behind us. We saw a man walking to another lane that had no light on so we asked a worker if they were opening and they said no. Ok, no big deal, we just felt it would be wrong for that man to basically be 1st in that line while we've all waited so long. As we get up to pay, we see that lady DID OPEN her line!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and instead of going to the people that had been waiting in line for literally 20 plus minutes... She opened it and sure enough that man ended up being one of the 1st persons out ( he was out before us!) and we stood and watched and all the people in our line missed out! Unfortunately our line was taking a long time because a few customers in a row were elderly and were hitting wrong buttons or something so the line got longer than I've ever seen but the lady that opened the other Lane should have used common sense!!! We love the young lady that checked us out we get her often, her name is Tenesha. She's always kind and...
Read moreEvery time I go to Winn Dixie, I often wonder if the executives ever walk into their own stores and say to themselves, “We need to make our stores more ugly and hire more sad people.” I mean have they ever been in a Publix? If it weren’t for the $5 off my groceries coupon I got, I would never set foot in a Winn Dixie. Their produce is low quality and they are often out of a lot of popular items. Shopping is not a pleasure here.
As a result, the consumers this store attracts are rather questionable. I’ve never seen so many shoppers in wheelchairs. Yikes! At least it’s not a Aldi…oh wait.
On the plus side, I will say that they usually have more and better BOGO items than Publix. That is if the item is in stock. The background music here is better in my opinion as well. More rock and roll compared with Publix’s yacht rock musak.
If you’re broke and needing to stay on a budget, Winn Dixie definitely panders to that audience. Just don’t shop too long. The super bright fluorescent lights will...
