Good luck with UbreakIfix for spending your time and money for NOTHING. Wait—not nothing. You do get your broken device back… intact!
Check out my story for your lesson learned (with cost & risks breakdown)!
23-day wait – Prepare for a loooong wait. (Think twice and plan for 3+ weeks without your device.)
Cheap parts – They promise “Real OEM” but install cheaper “OEM-style” parts. The 1st screen replacement was defective, 2nd incompatible. (uhh that’s why.)
Price trap – When their cheap part fails, you have to pay for the real OEM—about 50% more than your original cost. (They won’t tell you upfront.)
Customer service black hole – Took 3+ calls to reach a real person, 2+ days to get a case manager, and 9+ emails with no solution. (Frustrated? They don’t care once they refund you.)
Asurion insurance trap – Tempted by $150 off? It’ll take 3+ calls and 1+ email to cancel—especially if they put the wrong phone number to signup your account like they did for me. (Oooof, Jesus.)
Broken devices returned – Their “fix” was handing me back the same broken laptop. (Nice job! as indicated by their brandname you break customer fix!)
The Sparks store is a privately owned and operated location per the customer case manager. They drop the devices to other company-owned stores.
Final solution? I had to visit the Apple Store instead—similar quote (~$20 more), repaired in under 24 hours, and no games. I wish I consider this first.
Final advice? Trying to save that little $$ with this UbreakIfix store is not wise. You will end up like me,...
Read moreLet me just start by saying my experience with uBreakiFix was OUTSTANDING!.
First of all, the team there was cordial, inviting, and very professional. Clearly taking the time to explain the process and what I appreciated even more... she said they would have my Galaxy fold 6 repaired in 3 hours. When I showed up 3 hours later, the phone was ready and looked brand new.
While I was there several other customers arrived and the team uBreakiFix again showed their professionalism by addressing each and everyone of their concerns with patience and understanding.
Lastly, I was greatly impressed by how many spare parts and screens they keep on hand for repairs. No waiting for parts. Case in point, 3 other customers showed up with Galaxy folds with the exact same issue I had... the inside foldable screen just stopped working. Guess what, she had enough parts on hand to repair every single one of them.
I can't say enough about this little gem of a repair service other than this, I had Asurion insurance... I paid $0 for my repair!!! We are talking a $600 screen let alone the labor to replace.
If your phone is busted, you have to come here. I promise you won't be...
Read moreEdit. After fixing a phone my phone started doing this weird thing where it would auto restart constantly. When I called to explain what was going on they said to bring phone in. I live +45miles away. So i drive a good distance to get to them. When I was finally able to make it in, a lady working pretty much told me they could look at it again but if they couldn't find issue they'd have to factory reset my phone which I did not wish to do. She didn't bother to look at it and told me if I go home and back up all my photos I can bring it back to make sure nothing gets deleted incase factory reset would be required. WHAT!? So my phone has been doing this since it was repaired by this company but I may lose all my stuff as a result to it? But didn't even bother to look to begin with. I was soooooo irritated i left. I called a few times requesting to speak to managment and was told each time they were not in and never got responses. After getting a few jobs done here I am super disappointed. Still having issues 6 months later! We've had 2 screens repaired now and they've done an excellent job. It does cost a pretty penny but we were told it's authentic...
