Don’t waste your time going to Pickin In the Park... the concert only lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. You’ll spend 20 minutes in line for drinks and the event was so packed you spend another 35 minutes in line for the bathroom. It’s an acoustic concert so just four mediocre country artist sitting in a circle singing with a guitar. Would not recommend this event to anyone with good taste in events or music. The wife open space is really something to love. I love the art. Absolutely adore it. Bathrooms need to be way bigger and more modern. Love love love the splash pad but there's absolutely no shade. None. It's awful to endure while your children are playing. There is no pavilions close to eat under unless you walk across the park. Not very parent friendly. Bathrooms are far away as well. The park is nice; but it lacks adequate parking space, a swimming pool, open areas - and the Forth of July celebration was very poorly coordinated: the city (which should be ashamed) did not provide a diversity of music nor food vendors. The fireworks were nearly one-half mile away, could not be seen from the park, never really reached a climax and ended in about 15 minutes.
