The Spartanburg Science Center is adorable! It’s very easy to locate, the architecture of the nearby buildings and proximity to downtown is amazing. On the way into the science center there’s a few fun activities for the kids to do, along with young photographers pictures showcased on the walls. The museum prices are extremely budget friendly. It’s a small 4 room center but we spent 2 hours there! Definitely worth every penny. They have a reptilian room, fossil room, VR area, and a few other things. There is something for everyone no matter how old or young. My children really took to the employee Josh, he was super friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend stopping here if you’re nearby or looking for something to do!

Fun little experiential learning space. From snakes to turtles to kinetic energy and sand art, this place has a lot packed into a small space. There is an extensive taxidermy exhibit in the main lobby and then a natural science exhibit to the right, a physics area dead ahead and then a local biology area to the left where you can hold and pet any number of snakes and turtles and tortoises. At only $5 a person, it's a good way to spend a few hours with the kiddos. Highly recommended!

We arrived just before close due to a change in hours that had not been updated on Google, and the staff were apologetic and, in their excitement to show us around, ended up letting us stay over closing time. Though small, the space was well-used and there was an interesting collection of animals and an even greater collection of bones, rocks, and a cool meteoroid. We did not have time for the hands-on activities, but even without them the low cost was well worth it. If you arrive with time for those activities as well, the $5 per person is a steal for a family with young children. Currently you aren’t able to handle the animals due the ongoing pandemic, but once that changes back to normal the experience will be...

Very friendly front desk lady, awesome little place for children to learn and have fun . You can't beat it for $5 a person. The only recommendation I would have for this place would be for there to be more communication on the "arts room" My daughters sat down to paint and we were going to take the paintings home as we were leaving and a gentleman approached me and told me that those we not for regulars visitors but for the summer camps kids and that we shouldn't have used the...
