Update: My daughter asked to come back. I reluctantly agreed, hoping this would be a positive experience that would rebuild her confidence. So far the staff have been really nice and there are people watching the kids at almost every attraction and someone is cleaning. It's very busy but the food court has two workers and no line. Much better experience. Possibly different staff, as I did not recognize anyone. I also arrived 6 hours before closing this time.
If this experience is consistent, I may bump up to 5 stars. (I worked retail for years, I understand the need to get out as early as possible but you should never shut down every register 45 min early. Maybe 15 min early or just close all the registers except 1. I say this as a former closing Manager/Supervisor)
Former Review: I am giving them two stars ONLY because the place looked clean and well maintained.
My first time coming here, arrived 40 minutes before they close and couldn't jump. I have memberships to Get Air, Altitude and Defy. Because all three were closed at 8pm, we made a special trip to Flying Squirrel. I drove from Pullman to Spokane, almost 2 hrs. We detoured to Flying Squirrel so my daughter would have 40minutes jumping, instead of 10min jumping. At ANY of those other three places, we could have walked in and jumped. At Flying Squirrel we were told they closed their registers at 8:15pm.
I could buy tickets online, buy a membership, but they said even if I paid for their most expensive membership, my daughter still couldn't jump because they needed proof in their register that she was there, in case she got injured.... Seriously? If you're going to shut down your registers 45 minutes before you close, make that information available!! And what's the risk here? My daughter is injured and I drag her out of the building and then sue?? If she's injured, she would be taken care of THERE! Pretty sure that's proof she was injured there.
I burned $50 in gas driving there. My daughter is Autistic. She had a horrible night sleep and the poor kid collapsed for a nap, which delayed us leaving, then she overcame her disappointment that she couldn't go to Get Air and overcame her initial hesitation to enter a new place because I said they would be closing soon and runs inside so she can watch other people jump, other kids. Because the registers were closed!
She has no ability to understand that! She doesn't know what a register is or how it operates. She just left feeling that SHE is not allowed to jump and ONLY her. Yet another box is this damn world that she doesn't fit in. She sobbed. She thinks something is wrong with her. Thank you for being so inflexible. Your workers stood around doing nothing but hey, I'm sure they closed on time and got out early. That's what's...
Read moreMy husband and I came in September 29th at 3pm and paid for 18 jumpers for my sons 11th birthday party. I had called ahead asking about parties and had been told that we could use unused tables. It took us a while to get every one a waiver and I happened to walk up next to my husband with cupcakes. A short haired blonde lady came up to me and said “are you with a party?” I replied we didn’t pay for a party, but r celebrating our sons bday party.” Her response and I quote “ I have multiple parties here paying 400 dollars u need to get rid of those cupcakes or leave” Ok first of all! I was not told I could not bring our own cupcakes ahead, second all I need to be told is that they are sorry but your policy does not allow us to bring in our own food. It is ALL about how u r talking to paying customers. Then thirdly she has continued to watch us it was a few minutes after 4 and she walked up made eye contact with me, went over to an employee another young blonde girl with longer hair and pointed to us. The young girl proceeded to come over and tell us we had to move (if management would like we have time stamped pictures of a still completely empty, unused table half an hour later) We live in Mead and love this place. We come out every other weekend with our own 5 kids. Our 5 year old is turning 6 in 3 weeks and had planned on returning out here because it has always been worth driving past Get Air and Altitude. But after being felt we were sought out and rudely talked to we will not be returning again which is sad because our kids love this place. I hope management sees this and would like copies of time stamped pictures we can provide these. If we had simply been told from the beginning no outside food or this lady had spoken even just bluntly but not rudely or in a threatening manner I would have looked past this lady. My sister-in-law says she is also contacting or reviewing and not returning with her boys either. I have never ever left a review but this just was a doozy and people need to know how their customers are...
Read moreI'd like to start off by saying the facility itself is extremely fun, and a great time for both kids and adults. The staff, however, are far too incompetent for the good of the company and the safety of those who utilize the park. I incurred a broken foot at the park (it was not the fault of the park being unsafe or anything of that nature, just a genuine accident). After a friend went to ask for some ice for me, an employee took his time coming over to ask me why I needed ice, instead of just getting it. Once I explained what happened, he said he'd get a manager, and that she would have to get the ice. When the manager, Ducati, finally arrived, she was downplaying my injury and telling me that it didn't look bad or in any way swollen or injured. I don't know why she felt the need to invalidate my injury, since I was in no way asking for medical attention or compensation, and it felt incredibly unprofessional. What's worse is that she point blank said that none of the staff are medically trained in any way- not even first aid. In a facility inherently susceptible to injury, that's incredibly unprofessional and distressing. If you're not medically trained, you have no place telling me that I'm not injured, and discrediting my pain. After that encounter, as we were preparing to leave, a different floor staff employee named Jocelyn came to check in on me and she was an absolute sweetheart, and clearly an advocate for proper medical training among the staff. If all of the staff had the care and drive for safety and professionalism that Jocelyn had, this would be a wonderful and safe place for family fun, but as it stands, under Ducati's management, it is far too unsafe a place for me to recommend. I am incredibly unhappy with her management style, and her disregard for injury...
