De Leon Foods — Restaurant in Spokane Valley

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, my wife and I plus a few friends went to De Leon Foods for dinner. We had been to De Leon’s Taco & Bar up north before and kind of expected a traditional family restaurant experience at this location as well. However, it is a little different. You do order up at the deli and then go up and retrieve your food once it is cooked. But don’t let that dissuade you from going because this place is awesome!

Even though you aren’t assigned a server and even though the restaurant is within a grocery store, it is actually a really nice atmosphere. I ordered the enchiladas with green sauce and they were delicious. Perfect amount of spice and the rice and beans were tasty. In addition to my wife’s dish she ordered for herself, she also got “Rebel Fries” (covered in cheese and chicken) to share with the table. It was a unique item that you don’t see at most Mexican restaurants.

The prices are cheap compared to what you would pay at Azteca or other family Mexican restaurants and the plate presentations are really well-done. I would definitely recommend...

Me and my mom and my wife went to the establishment a week ago and we had we all had the same thing chicken chimichanga combo plate and medium Horchata we liked it so much. It was excellent. It was delicious the portions was outrageous as a matter of fact we liked it enough to order it again tonight, but this time we had it sent to the house via Uber eats and I am sad to say that we received less than half of the portion that we received when we actually sat down in the establishment and paid more. I purchase items to prepare my own Mexican meals, being from San Antonio Texas good Mexican food is hard to fine this far North. My real beef is while shopping at the Sullivan store on Friday (24 April) not a one employee had on a mask or gloves. Employees were serving prepared food from a buffet style counter while talking over the food without any protection over the mouth. No one in the store was Observing the six foot rule. Two customers ahead of me saw this and walked out. The store is going to lose a lot of customers if this is NOT fixed.
