This place is an interesting concept as a whole, we loved the different options but the service and quality are lacking. We were on way through to Seattle after a long drive from Wisconsin. Suffice it to say that coffee was a necessity and we wanted more than the average Starbucks experience. As a previous coffee shop manager my advice is to service customers based on arrival; especially drive threw. Managers or shift leads should have breaks pre-planned and adhered to as much as possible so your third barista isn't going on break with a full lobby and cars in both drive threws. I understand delays but we waited almost 10 minutes behind someone and then another 10 before we even ordered. A very polite and apologetic girl took the order for the first drink and then promptly walked away as I started asking for our second beverage. She comes back and asks if we want one or two shots in our 24 ounce drinks. That seems a bit on the cheap side for espresso, how many shots do you put in your 16 oz drinks, a half of one? 16 oz = 1 shot and you add an additional for each size increase.
That being said we finally got our drinks. They were sloshed in coffee, I never signed for the purchase or was told my total so I guess Ill find out how much they cost when I check my bank account next.
The drinks themselves, both blended: Don't order the double decker if you are expecting something along the lines of Reeses. It was more like a nut roll topped with cocoa powder. Not bad but not what we were expecting based on the description of chocolate and peanut butter. Also, it was overly sweet. It seriously tasted like someone had mixed marshmallows in it.
The dirty spiced chai with hemp milk I requested and was told they could make was NOT spiced at all. In fact I don't even think it was chai, at least not like I have ever experienced. Its beyond sweet, it tastes like its straight sugar and I'm highly doubtful it was made with hemp. I'm sure I'll know a few hours into the rest of our drive since I'm lactose intolerant. And yes, I am still drinking it because those two measly shots of espresso are going to get me through the rest of our drive.
Three stars for the name, the concept, and the many options. Though experience wise I don't think...
Read moreCourtney and crystal at the wake up call Sullivan branch are some of the sweetest girls! I always see crystal there and she seems to always be some how involved in helping me with my order. No complaints from me because she is very nice. She even noticed when I switched from my normal drink to something new. I know these girls see so many faces a day, so for her to recognize me, it really made my day! I have always remembered her because if her cheerful attitude and positive energy so it was nice to be remembered by her. Today, Courtney helped me at the window and she was so patient and nice. I asked her every flavor of every muffin and bread and she went right into letting me know what her favorite was. Instead of just letting me sit there and think, she gave me recommendations and tried to help me decide on a flavor. In the end, I decided I wasn’t in the mood for bread and pasted. But I appreciate her effort in helping me. For the record, I have had most flavors and they are all delicious! Everyone that works there has always given me great service and I know they all play a huge role in the speedy service. I can go there with 10 minutes before work with 4 cars in front of me and still get to work in time! I love how fast and friendly this location is! Cant forget about the delicious coffee! There coffee is some of the best in town! If you don’t know what sounds good, ask your barista because they have given me some great ideas that have become new favorites! If you have made it this far in my review, then hopefully you have already gotten your drink and sipping it as you are pulling out of the drive through! It’s really is a great place to visit for all your morning, afternoon, or evening needs! Huge shoutout to everyone at the Sullivan location for never making me...
Read moreI really love the friendly girls at sullivan, but my coffee has not been the same lately. I ask for a hot white chocolate Americano with cream and an extra pump of flavor. I also ask for hot coffee, where it is hot to my lips and whip cream on the top. Lately, my coffee that I order 3 -5 days a week taste like water. The temperature of hot coffee is warm not hot. They also forget my whip cream. It is so frustrating and I really think some of these girls need better training. I am to the point....I stop tipping! I am also to the point, I won't drive away til it's right. Many times...I have driven away and I then take a drink...which is a mistake. I then have to turn back around and wait in the drive thru to reorder. I feel bad for the people behind me that have to wait, since I won't leave til it's right. My son is a fan of the wake up call. I told him about my experience lately and he said he has been experiencing the water down coffee as well! Please fix...
