Went in for dinner gal at counter was friendly, I placed my order and waited awhile. I noticed the kid behind me in line received his order before me, no big deal he seemed to know some of the staff. I noticed how they sneakily didnt call out a number for his order. I wasn't in a rush so at the moment I didn't mind, approx. 4mins later I hear my number called and I get my food then drive home. As I sit down to eat, I bite down and find one of the two patties is medium rare, I set it aside and try my other cheeseburger to find both patties are rare. I ended up tossing the 2nd burger away and removing 1 of the 2 patties from the first just to have something to eat that night. There is a reason I drove 12mins, togo to 5guys rather then just walk the 5mins to a closer competitor, I like my burgers well done and 5guys is supposedly a place that "cooks all burgers well done and juicy" atleast that's what the signage in side says. In the end I spent $33.32, thats including the tip and essentially recieved 1 topless little cheese burger and a large fry... but hey atleast they didn't mess up the fries. I don't recommend eating here unless your dining in so you can make a stink when they F'up your order, just be prepared and bring in some wipes to clean off a table yourself as they don't often send someone out to...
Read moreUpdate 2024 - 6 years later, all adults working now but it takes forever to get the food. Last couple times it’s taken over 15 minutes to get the food upon ordering with only 4 other tables sitting down in the restaurant and no wait with 8 employees behind the counter and no one in the lobby having food. This time we waited exactly 19 minutes and 2 other orders got served before us. 1 order with the exact same order and then a family of 4 with way more food got theirs before us, what!?!??!? How does that work!?
Now reviewing after eating. Ask for no onions to have them take 19 minutes and put onions on the top bun and bottom. Like if yall are going to take that long and have 8 people behind the counter, you should probably get it right? Right? I had to scrap off all the mushrooms I ordered with it cause the onions were diced and mixed in.
I can see why this place takes forever cause by the time we finished eating, we got to enjoy all 8 people behind the counter standing around doing nothing but giggling and messing around. Can you imagine owning this franchise and paying 8 employees to stand around for an hour? Crazy crazy crazy. Food is still really good when they get it right, but the service is trash
This place is great. Pretty much all high school kids working though so sometimes its...
Read moreMaybe if one of the 6+ people working would stop screwing around, I wouldn't have waited 20 minutes for a milkshake. My fried about went cold. No reason to leave 4 people waiting for milk shakes, especially on to go orders, just us standing around staring at people goofing off. Get it together. Shout out to the one gal who got them done, 20 minutes later.
I have tried with this location, tried to give them chances and chalked things up to new people or a bad night. I LOVE 5 guys as they are one of the few places I can eat with my allergies. When they opened they were stellar for a couple years. But every single time we go since the pandemic, there is a problem. Forgotten food, wrong food, taking FOREVER, and especially chronic limp fries. I have been to many other locations and the fries are crispy and fresh. Unpleasantly soft and on the verge of not cooked enough. Even ordering well done fries, they are limp and on the verge of undercooked.
I will say, that when I turn around and drive 10 minutes back, or I find something while standing at the counter, they jump to make it right or offer a refund. But I am SO tired of there always being SOMETHING. Please figure out where the breakdown is, I love being able to eat take out for date night. A $35 meal shouldn't need to be babysat and...
