My boyfriend bought me this ring from Zales. A diamond fell out and we already had problems with Zales before this incident with the same ring. Decided to have Fred Meyer jewelers replace the diamond that fell out. The gold smith did an excellent job replacing it. Julianna who works there is so polite and very knowledgeable. Giving this place a 3 star only because when I came in to have my ring quoted for it to be fixed I had the worst customer service ever and it was totally stereotyped because I am in my early twenties. Her name was Karen. I had come in with my mom because she was with me that day and I proceeded to tell her that I wanted a quote to have my ring fixed. I tried to be friendly and tell her about my experience with Zales and she completely cut me off and was quite clear she didn’t want to hear my experience with my ring. She continued to keep asking me if my ring was real and if I was sure. I started to get super irritated because this ring was $600 at Zales and I was there and picked it out. She then was like “ are you sure you just don’t want me to check?” So i replied “go for it but I know it’s real, I was there when my boyfriend bought if for me.” She then used a like radio tool to determine if my ring was real or not and then she said “wow you do have a good boyfriend.” She then questioned me on how much my ring cost. Just because I’m younger doesn’t mean that I should be stereotyped and questioned numerously on if my ring is real or not. She doesn’t know how much my boyfriend and I make or how much we can afford so for her to be so rude towards me and act like my ring was cheap and fake is BS. Not to mention my moms ring was missing a diamond as well and she wanted a quote too. Karen deliberately hurried my process and completely blew off my mom. Nowadays with prices of everything going up, I find it bs that she almost seemed irritated with me and completely acted like my ring was ghetto and not real. When I came back to pick up my ring after it was fixed, my boyfriend come with me and we had Julianna. Such a better experience. She listened when I told her about my experience with my ring and she was very helpful and recommended us to come back to her when my boyfriend is ready to propose in the next year or so. She was phenomenal, but that other lady is rude and shouldn’t be judging people just because they...
Read moreI’m stuck with them for the life of my ring unfortunately. I’ve thought pretty hard about giving this rating and it was a little hard because there is one woman Blanca who was so great to tell me how I should be taken care of VS how I have been taken care of. She deserves 5 stars for sure. Overall though, pretty untrustworthy place to go to when it comes to jewelry and stones. Seriously go anywhere more professional than here. Between the two stores I’ve been to (CDA and Valley) the ratio of staff members that are unprofessional is 8/10. The warranty is worth having for sure on my purchase but they’ve messed my ring up and it’s still not right after three attempts. The lack of caring for the third time after expressing my concerns of what’s still not right made me just take my ring back at that point. The manager even had the nerve to ask me as I was leaving—- if I was in the market for anymore jewelry 🤦🏻♀️…. I laughed. I overheard a girl explain to another customer(who was also unhappy with the work done to her piece) that she was sorry and there is a jeweler who is kind of checked out at this point….. maybe stop using that guy. Found out that same guy who was “checked out” worked on my ring twice. Please don’t dump your hard earned money into a place like this. Don’t buy a wedding ring or any piece here with all the love there is and then start resenting it for the cost and the meaning for them to screw it up, play dumb, be untrustworthy and unprofessional as you start using your warranty...
Read moreI am not impressed with this location at all. I went in twice and was treated like I wasn't a priority because I wasn't there to make a purchase. the second time I tried to drop my ring off one lady hardly bothered to look up and told me someone would be right with me. 10mins later I walked out of the store without ever being helped. now today when I decided to give them one last try I was helped right away (I was the only one in there) but for the first time in 3 years of taking my ring in to be cleaned and checked I was told my life time warranty does not cover the head of my solitare. in fact for the last 3 years I was told that having my band and solitare soddered together that the life time warranty on the band would cover the solitare as well. that is why my husband bought the warranties the way he did. had we known other wise we would have made should we bought the warranty to covered everything. also on a different note, when buying my husband ring (south hill location)they ordered the wrong ring and then got the wrong size. 3rd times the charm i guess. I am so disappointed in how I have been treated at this valley location and disappointed in being misinformed in the first place. I wish we went with a different jeweler...
