JCI-James Coney Island (Woodlands) — Restaurant in Texas

Today 5/10/19 was our first time ever experiencing James Coney Island and to be honest I think it's our last. We went through the drive thru of the sawdust location. We placed our order and the total seemed off. We get to the window and ask for a receipt as we look at it there were up charges for things the lady said were included. As we were waiting for our food the lady who took our payment which is a shift leader was standing by the food eating a bag of cheetos and everytime she put the cheetos in her mouth she would lick her fingers. I have never been so disgusted in my life because as shes doing this she is handling customers food. It took 20 mins to get mediocre food. Our fries werent fresh in fact they were hard and tasteless. I dove into one of their gourmet chili cheese dogs, and let me tell you, it wasn’t just a hot dog. It was a full-blown flavor parade with chili leading the marching band and cheese tossing confetti. Then came the Baja dog, stacked like it had something to prove. Chipotle mayo, guacamole, pico, cilantro, jalapeños… it was like a taco truck crash-landed on a hot dog in the best way possible.

To wash it all down, I grabbed a pink lemonade. It was so sweet I’m pretty sure my pancreas sent me a strongly worded letter. Still drank it. No regrets.

About once every two months I will do a "Son Run"! We all like chili dogs and my sons will call from work and say hey Mom can you go get us some chili dogs from that chili dog place. I end up ordering "The Classic" and I ordered two to three of them I never know how hungry they are. But they get two chili dogs, tater tots or fries, and large drink. Believe me, my boys love them. I love chili dogs too I don't think I can eat that much. Always a smile and happy service. Sometimes I think the drive-thru is just too long a wait. I usually walk in. The food is always fresh. Never old French fries or tater tots. Always fresh and I think that's why the drive-thru is so long. So I will gladly trade fresh fries for a long wait in the Drive-Thru. Glad to know JCI is in the...
