Zion Rock & Gem — Attraction in Springdale

The owner was very rude to me when I inquired about the glass chunks out front, she was playing on her phone and made me feel stupid, she was interrupting me before I could even finish asking a question and blurting answers I wasn’t even asking about. All the scales are not calibrated correctly! Make sure to check before something is weighed. She hurriedly fixed them and pretended to not know when I pointed that out. Then she said she would weigh the piece I selected on the digital one so I would feel better about it, and didn’t even bother to show me what it weighed. Just played me off like I didn’t know a digital one could be calibrated correctly. In my opinion this place could be run better and more honestly. Seriously consider if something is really worth the price you are told before buying it. In my case ummm no... i received a bad experience coming here and left very irritated at how I was delt with. Great place for a nice souvenir from Zion! A large variety of inexpensive options for you to choose from! Ask the employees for a recommendation, they are glad to share their knowledge and experience. We got some help picking out a couple of geodes and learned alot about them. Also found some nice Rose Quartz. They sell some rocks by the pound and for a few dollars you can find some nice choices of a variety of different rocks. They also sell colored glass in a variety of sizes. Please make sure you wear the gloves they provide all around the area. The rocks and glass are sharp and you could get cut. The rocks were cool but I bought 6 lbs of rocks @ $6 per lb. And he charged my wife $64. I told him that wasn't right but he said "u would be surprised what these rocks weigh." I went back outside and weighed the rocks on the scales they had and came to 6lbs. again. Went back inside and told him 6x6=$36. He said "so u wanna dispute the charge huh!" In a angry tone. I said yes I do, i weighed them outside at 6lbs. And want my money back. He said "the scales outside are a rough number and not as accurate as the one he uses.
