Hollywood Casino York — Attraction in Springettsbury Township

As you will see by my total reviews, I hardly ever leave a negative review however, your bartender (over near the cage area) really put me off because he insulted me and yet I was as anyone would be, I believe. 1st, it took him 10 minutes to ask me if I would like a drink after I spoke with him and sat down regarding the gaming… When he did come over to me, he did not just ask me what I would like to drink, water and soda, as if it were the only thing I had to choose from, and I responded why, do not have alcohol?? He says yes we do… If you’re gaming, you can get a free beer.. Did I ask for something for free? Did I look like I did not have money to pay for anything more than a soda or a water? I told him I do not like beer and that I would like a Cosmo martini. He then brings me my martini in a plastic glass that I knew was not even a full martini portion and I said what is this ~ this definitely is not the size of what a martini would be and he told me it was. I said we’ll get a martini glass and let’s see. Of course, I was correct and it was only 2/3 of the martini glass. I said see I told you. He responded with well would you like more cranberry in it? I said no why would I want more cranberry and it? I told him just to go away , that I am enjoying my gaming and don’t want to get into this. He refused to go away and told me to tell him how he insulted me. I told him if he can’t figure it out he really has some thinking to do.

I was a bartender for years back in the days, I am 50 years old now. I have money. I drive a Land Rover. I was insulted and it wasn’t just with his words. It was his demeanor.

I even left him a four dollar tip still although I won 600 on a hand and cashed out so he could see that I cashed out for $600 because he blew his tip but I still tipped him.

I did remain at that bar and played a couple hundred more dollars… When he was leaving, he asked a gentleman next to me if he could get him anything if he was all set before he left. Did he ask me? NO, he did not.

I love Hollywood casinos, but I absolutely did not love my experience there tonight at all and have never been treated like that so bluntly. It was just rude and that is what inspired me to write...

Looks like im not the only one who experienced this racist casino. Ok. I’m an Owner level and now they are charging me for a bottled coke. I spend damn near 3-5 grand in here a week and they charging me for a bottle coke whereas they didn’t before. I don’t drink liquor that much. My weekly slot play has decreased. I’ve put well over 80-100,000 grand this year alone and I’ve never hit a GRAND JACKPOT but all of the little old white folk come in here and hit immediate GRAND jackpots for $1-2 a spin. This place is around the corner from me. I probably need to go to GA. I swear this casino right here is racist AF. I miss Terry and Derek as host. And these funky attitude chics in the kitchen suck and they dirty and don’t handle food well. I can’t stand any of em. They definitely show their favor for the white vs. black guest and selective on who they card and don’t card. Don’t come here if you’re not of the “divine race.” It’s ok sometimes but it’s clearer who really wins in here. I’ve noticed that some of the regulars I used to see aren’t in here anymore. The food sucks except the chicken tenders and they need to make better drinks for the money spent in here. Owners tier hell, just means they own me cause they know I’m gonna come in here regardless of how they treat me. I love Sandy, the security guards at the door and people who pay you like Carl, Daniel and the others I don’t know their names and the janitorial Manager is awesome, the nicest person. Even the table guys/gals are friendly and I don’t play the table but those nasty food handlers in that grill all NEED TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. They even look at you like what do you want… SMH I’m not upset because I lost today or anything. This is just a real evaluation of the substandard...

The dining area in this establishment has the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere. Lindsey was our server. Horrible! We were at this restaurant for an hour and a half just for burgers. The woman who sat us did not know where the hostess was. So she sat us. But she had to clean the table first, which she clearly did not do a good job at as we watched her. As we looked around the dining room, there were only 3 other occupied tables. And we noticed at least 3 other tables that were never cleaned off during the entire time we were there. They were not under staffed. We saw 3 other servers besides the one we had. I had ordered a side salad with my burger and waited 20 minutes before Lindsey ever brought it out. Another server brought us our burgers because Lindsey was busy socializing at another table. We asked the server for some mayonnaise. He never brought it. Once we flagged Lindsey down, we asked her for some mayonnaise. She never brought it because she was busy socializing at the same table as earlier. I finally walked over to her and asked if she could go get that mayonnaise before our burgers got cold. The man at the table next to us clearly had a problem with his server too. He was cussing up a storm and being quite loud about it. A manger who was dressed more like a janitor came to talk to him. I will never dine in this restaurant again. The waiting for the check was long and I should have paid with cash because Lindsey had to stop and socialize at that other table again when she took my Credit Card to pay my bill. They are in no hurry to take care of you at this diner. You would think they would want to get you back out to the slot machines as soon as possible. Very Disappointing experience on...
