Service great, quality of the iPhone screen not so great. When you look at the phone screen from an angle, it almost just looks like the screen is a privacy screen. The bottom right corner of the screen also makes a clicking noise when you press it. When the phone drops, I have a feeling the entire screen is going to bust. Welp, I guess that’s what happens when you pay 80 bucks to get your screen fixed.
EDIT*
FYI: I’m one who reads reviews and not write them, but this was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a phone that I felt the need to share.
Manager CALLS ME I guess after reading the above review to bring my phone back in to get fixed. I told her my concern is the screen is going to crack easily due to the fact that the screen was poorly installed (Screen raised well above where it should be as well as the screen clicking into place on the sides and corners). She agreed and said she totally understands where I’m coming from. So shes ask me to bring it in so I say I’ll drop it off. What do you know the screen cracked in the corner right before I go to take my phone back..shocker...., not really. So I take the phone back, give it to them. They call me to say the phone is ready to be picked up and it will be 85 dollars. Wait what???? So your telling me I have to pay full price again?? I’m under the impression the manager was trying to make things right and went out of her way to call me asking to bring my phone back. They tell me that since my screen was cracked that it voids the warranty. I didn’t even think a warranty was a factor at this point considering the screen wouldn’t have cracked in the first place if it wasn’t so poorly installed the first time!!!! And might I add I would have just walked right back out the door when I went back if they told me on the spot it would cost another 85 dollars to fix it again. But nah, They just went ahead, replaced it and told me it would be 85 dollars. So I refused to pay AGAIN for the screen. Why would I pay 160 dollars at this point when the manager told me she understood my concern that ended up happening as predicted. The guy on the phone says there is nothing he can do about it so he said he would take the new screen back off and put the other back on but it would cost me 25 dollars. I mean that’s an absolute joke. How can you charge someone 25 dollars to put the same screen they paid for back on after you didn’t even tell them it was going to cost full price to fix the phone that they screwed up from the start? So thank you batteries and bulbs for ruining my weekend with this terrible experience. You will absolutely never get my business when it comes to phone screens or...
Read moreDO NOT GET YOUR PHONE SCREEN REPLACED HERE. I had my phone screen replaced here about a month ago, if it was even that long. Had problems with typing and the screen was clicking 10 things at once at certain times. Today my phone screen went completely black, the phone it self still worked I was getting calls but I could not see anything on the screen. I took my phone into the store after work and was told that my phone must have been dropped and that I was gonna need to pay for a new screen. Mind you the only time I dropped my phone was the night before it had a case and screen protector on and it maybe fell a foot off of the floor and there was no physical damage to the phone and worked fine till today. There was no offer to take a look at it or to try and see if maybe something came loose or was not installed properly. It was only when I raised the issue that even if I dropped it a foot that it should not be broken and that its probably not a factory screen (which the manager claimed it was), that the store manager got the district manager on the phone. He said they would replace it for free but he would have to order the screen but the manager could try to take it apart and put it back together. The store manager told me that I would have to wait till the next day for him to look at it when the whole reason I was there is because of quality of the screen/ work which should have been addressed immediately. I ended up taking my phone to a phone repair store and the first thing they told me when I got my phone back was that it's not a factory screen and that was the reason my screen had a mind of its own at times and eventually went black. The guy at the phone repair store didn't charge me for the diagnostic and said he could change the screen to the proper one but he would have to order the screen as well. I had to end up buying a temporary phone for work and spend more money because I chose to use this location to get my screen fixed. Don't make the same mistake as me. Go somewhere else
And just for the record this is my second review on google and the other one is a positive one I usually don't write reviews but I don't want anymore people getting ripped off...
Read moreIn November I used the website to make an appointment to fix my phone, and upon arrival I was told that the technician was already gone for the day and to come back another time when he was there. Why can you make appointments for screen repair out of the technicians hours? Went back when I was told to and had my iPhone screen repaired in November for $134.99 and then woke up one morning in December to the touch screen not working in any of the corners, or top and bottom of the phone. I called multiple times last week, the phone was never answered, and finally went in last Friday and presented my phone and receipt. I was told to bring the phone back between Monday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm, when the technician would be available, and it would be fixed without any problems.
I went in yesterday and explained the situation and was told that no, the screen would not be replaced under warranty due to a hairline scratch across the screen. The associate called the store owner and described it as a "huge crack down the middle", and the store owner said no without seeing the screen. The associate then told me it "probably doesn't work because of the crack", after agreeing with me that the phone is completely fine where the scratch is. Not only could the associate not tell me when the owner would be in next, but the phone rang while I was in line and no associate answered it- so no wonder I couldn't get through to this location previously.
Took the iPhone to Apple today who confirmed that this is a common issue with third-party repair shops like Batteries and Bulbs, and said that the scratch is surface level and has nothing to do with the touch screen not working. Under APPLE recommendation, do not EVER use this company for screen repairs. Complete waste of money, and associates who do not know what they are doing nor...
