The Bamboo Spa — Local services in Springfield Township

I previously reviewed this place with 5 stars, and now I'm taking all of them back.

Don't come here unless you're willing to pay more than the expected. I used to LOVE this place because their gel manicure is well done and lasts a couple of days until I tried the waxing and got REALLY hurt, the girl damaged my skill to a point where I came home bleeding and she overcharged me at the cashier because it was "more work" for her. I only saw how bad it was when i got home and couldn't even sit (because my private parts were hurt) It was a big charge difference because the regular price is 35 and I paid $90. I'm only writing this here because I emailed the place and I never got a response. - With all this said, today i decided to return for my nails because I'm never going back there for wax again and if you don't want to be hurt, don't go!

I get there for my nails and I get overcharged again, if you read other comments you will see that they do this all the time, they charge you a different price at the cashier - without telling you beforehand. Anyways, the girl insisted on adding glitter to my nail and then charged more for it at the end. again without telling.

I think the biggest problem is that they don't tell you when something is "extra", you never know if the water will be on your bill at the end. I'm never going back and I'm sad because I like the nail job but I'm not gonna be treated like a fool. Run away if you don't wanna go through the same!

And to the business owner: train your staff to tell people when they are going to be charged extra for something, not everyone...

Yee is one of a kind, it is a privilege to have her work on you! She does the best lash extensions in the area, It is unbelievable how many compliments I get on them all of the time. She also does my manicures and pedicures and her talent is amazing. She knows my style, what I like and is always patient and eager to help me make my final decision on what to get. The quality of her work is unparalleled. She is friendly, professional and funny and I always look forward to seeing her. I cannot recommend Yee enough! Kelli is a joy, I see her for my facials and spray tans and she does wonderful work! She is always happy and bubbly as well as professional. Though I am primarily Yee and Kelli’s client, every time I’m in Bamboo, all of the staff is friendly and says hi to me by name. It creates a very welcoming and happy environment. The owners, MiMi and Ryan are exceptional! As soon as I walk through the door, they greet me by name and ask how I am doing… they are always going out of their way to make sure I am taken care of and you can tell they genuinely care about their clients. I am in the spa industry myself, so I know what is acceptable and what is not and let me tell you… Bamboo spa always goes...

My esthetician moved her spa/salon to East Falls in Philadelphia and I reside in Delaware County. I was between gel pedicures and needed services done, yet needed an establishment I felt comparable to her with services. Well I found that at Bamboo Spa. From the moment I walked through the door I knew that I made the right choice.

The warmth and friendliness of the staff is on the same level as my previous salon and spa. The color options for my pedicure were overwhelming (in a good way☺️). My services were done by Nancy and she was AMAZING! When she was done my toes were beautiful, absolutely beautiful!

The atmosphere and energy of the Bamboo Spa is one of relaxation, serenity and self-care. Witnessing how the established clients are welcomed and treated confirmed that I made the right choice is choosing The Bamboo Spa for my Glam Services. I look forward to becoming and established client myself.
