
I just want to edit my review from before and go a bit more in depth. Overall, the place is clean and nice. Everyone there is nice. If they pass by you while you're getting your hair done they'll all compliment you and chat with you. As someone who's pretty anxious about life in general, even something as simple as a haircut can make me feel terrified. I'll back out of something I really want if I feel even a little unsure. I've also wanted short, more androgynous hair for a long time. A lot of hairdressers get hesitant to chop that much because of my nervous energy. Anyway, I scheduled my first appointment with another hairstylist whose name I forget (sorry!!). I got a style I really liked with longer hair. She was sweet and I loved the haircut I got. Then I came back and I was with Jeff. I've had maybe 3 or 4 appointments with him so far and each time he's been great. He's been patient with my nervousness, always given me helpful advice, and made my hair look great. Read moreI had an appointment for yesterday and was looking forward to it since at 32 years old I've literally never been to a hair salon in my life. due to an unexpected emergency at work before I left, I was scared I might be a few minutes late, so I called about 5 minutes before my appointment time to ask if it would be okay if I got there in ten minutes (which would have made me five minutes late).
I was told that the stylist already had someone in the chair and she wouldn't have had time to cut my hair anyway (I wanted a cut, dye, and conditioning treatment). I said, I really want it cut and dyed, can we just not do the conditioning treatment? And I was told no. So I had to cancel which I'm insanely disappointed about. Is this just how all salons are gonna be??

Read moreI liked a coworker’s hair. She referred me to Stephen at Changes. I was very excited for Stephen to color my hair as well. On the day of my appointment Stephen suggested that a stylist named Jeff should do my hair. I was disappointed but agreed. I showed Jeff pictures of what I wanted. After he was finished I did not love my hair. I left and called 6 days later telling them of my dissatisfaction. They told me to come back in. When I went back for Jeff to fix my hair he basically told me that the only thing he could do was add a few foils...anything else he would have to CHARGE me AGAIN! So he put SIX foils in my hair which did not make a huge difference at all! I’m still confused as to why I would be recharged for a service that didn’t go well!
