I will give them 2 star because they need to work more on their service especially when you are calling from a different state. I just called the store and after being on hold for about 15 minutes, I had to hang up and dial again because the same lady who then answered my call again said she is the only one in the department and she has a line. Okay I do get it but what about someone who is on the phone for over 15 minutes. Anyway, for the second time I got a chance to talk to someone in the swimwear department. I wanted The La Blanca one piece swimsuit in Aqua color which all the Macys are sold out on it except the Springfield store seemed to have 1 left. The girl I spoke to was really nice, then I explained to her that I am in California, I need the swimsuit to get shipped out to me. She said she will get a manager on duty and get his permission. It seemed that MR. John is the only one on duty tonight and he said we only ship it if they have a Macy’s Card. Well, I don’t have a Macy’s card and I won’t ever get it because the interest on it is so high. I have been working in retail for so many years and one of the biggest goal if you ever worked in retail is to make the customers happy, doesn’t matter if they are in the store or they are over the phone calling from different state. Read morePlaced an order online for 2 pairs of shoes to be picked up at this store. Received an email that 1 of the items had been delivered, and that I could either pick up that part of the order, or that I could wait to pick up when the 2nd item was delivered. The email stated that I would have 7 days to pick up my order after the LAST item was delivered to the store. Fast forward 1.5 weeks later, still waiting on the 2nd item to arrive. Even though my full order is still not ready for pick up, I received another email that Macy’s cancelled my order because I did not pick up the first item within 7 days. So first they tell me I can wait until the full order is ready to pick up, and now they are saying I didn’t pick up the first item in time so my order is cancelled. I called the store and the woman in the shoe department said they have nothing to do with online orders so I have to call Customer Service. I calle Customer Service and was on the phone for 30 min repeating myself over and over again because the woman on the phone did not understand. So basically, I was told one thing and then they did another, and now I have no order. Read moreMacy's has some good people but most often they have terrible costumer service. My mom was doing holiday shopping for Christmas Eve. She was buying a foam cleanser at Estée Lauder. The lady who was there seemed part Indian. My mom is Korean so she has trouble with English, she was trying to ask which foam cleanser was best and the lady was impatient and did not try at all to help or understand her. My mom asked for a gift receipt and the lady said that it was sent to her email and that she could print it out using her phone. My mom said "nevermind, it's okay" since her phone was on a low percentage. For some reason the woman was angry and started to argue and talk back to my mom, saying that the system was not letting her print it out on paper although my mom did not say anything. One could say that this was simply due to language barriers, however, she treated other customers the same way. The whole time that my mom was looking for and purchased the item, the lady was impatient and rude, clearly not happy to help.
